To be clear I am fine with any song outside of like Desert Song winning for this album

 

I'm Not Okay - it's iconic and I really loved those moments when Gerard would throw in yeah's at the beginning of the song when they played it live.

Desert Song - loved this song and never thought I'd get to see it played in person til one glorious evening in Las Vegas. It was the first time they played it in the US and I still get chills whenever I watch the video I took of it.

Hang'em High - hard choice but the frantic energy and buildup during the song is so damn good.

You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison - because I love it and Ghost of You is a fuckin snoozefest.

I Never Told You What I Do For A Living - thought for sure I'd end up flipping a coin here but when I listened to both before writing this I found I still find myself banging my head to this song and honestly I'm still probably traumatized from when I tried to download a rough edit version of the Helena video from Kazaa and instead ended up with the Paris Hilton sex tape.

It's Not A Fashion Statement - jetset is fine but fashion statement is easily one of my top 10 favs so it loses by default

Sorry for the wall of text but this record means the world to me and I couldn't stop myself from word vomiting over it. From Nov 2004 to Dec 2005 I saw them perform 11 times while promoting this album and at the time I was really sick but for the few hours I got to see them live I forgot about how much pain I was in and could just enjoy the moment.

 

I'm Not Okay - Hard for me to vote against this one. A total classic

Desert Song - I really love this one. I remember coming back to this track often once I bought Life On The Murder Scene from a Circuit City

Hang Em High - They played this the one and only time I saw MCR live (Bamboozle Left 2008). For some reason I always associate this song with that set

The Ghost of You - My personal favorite from the album and my favorite music video of theirs

Helena - This song on TRL was my intro to MCR. I was hooked.

The Jetset Life Is Going to Kill You - this one could either way. Don't really like one more than the other, but Jetset gets the vote because I love the intro

 

I'm Not Okay(I Promise) - This is the song that got me into MCR, so this is more of a nostalgia pick than anything.

Desert Song - Honestly, I'm not crazy about this song, but I'll take it over Interlude any day of the week.

To The End - This was the hardest one for me this round. I really like Hang 'Em High a lot. I went back and forth on this and I just went with To The End because I've listened to it more in the last 13 years.

You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison - I think that The Ghost of You is a good song, but it's toward the bottom of the album for me. @truelovewaits you can report me now

Helena - I know this was a single and was popular, etc etc but Helena is one of my favorite all time MCR songs and possibly my favorite on this album.

The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You - Probably the second hardest one for me this round. I give it the slightest edge.

Ghost might be one of my least favourites too, it's definitely in the bottom half. Still a perfect 10/10 song though.

I'm Not Okay. Yeah yeah I know that's the big one, but I think I overplayed it. I almost always play any other song from the album over it.

all of these songs are so insanely good it was really hard

It took me the longest to connect with Ghost of You for some reason I think it might have to do with it reminding me of a lot of other (albeit much worse) mid-tempo/ballad songs from lesser bands that functionally were grouped in MCR's scene at the time

I love it now tho
