Guy next to me at the Yard House bar was asking his friend who was playing at Fenway and he said “my chemical romance. They’re like an edgy 5 Seconds to Mars”
I heard horror stories about the merch lines but I waited ten mins and now I’m basically at barricade
Just got back from the Boston show. Absolutely incredible show, the vibes were immaculate, performance was flawless. Setlist was perfect. Cannot believe I got to hear War Beneath the Rain live.
I hadn’t looked into any of the lore beforehand because I wanted to go in fresh and I just assumed this must have happened at every show but nope. This was crazy
This has a summary of the show along with the prevalent theories (such as "it's a time loop"). LONG LIVE THE BLACK PARADE: The Story Within The Story Also, someone compiled all of the Boston changes here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MyChemical...rd_wasnt_slapped_but_he_did_become_a_macabre/ And if you really want a deep dive, there's a megadoc of every minuscule change and element of the tour here lmao: Long Live the Black Parade Megadoc
Wait I had no idea that the story elements were progressing through the tour, that's fucking insane. Now I need to look into all of it
Are all these shows being recorded? I am thinking this just might be a choose your own adventure thing similar to how Netflix did that Black Mirror movie.
Yeah after reading all of that I think it's just options they choose for each show specifically. Still very cool. I doubt anything comes out of it at the end based on my expectations consistently not being met (my own fault).
I'm hoping at least an official digital release for their homecoming show, similar to what Fall Out Boy did for their Madison Square Garden show (not their homecoming one, but you know what I mean. Professional recording and stuff.)
I bring this up because the Boston show is fresh in my mind but, I wonder if they change any elements of the show due to what happened yesterday. I hope not but you know, it's not unreasonable to expect there to be some sort of backlash, especially in Florida...
I’ve been on such a huge my chem kick since the Chicago show and all I have to say is I didn’t properly appreciate the foundations of decay when it came out. That song absolutely fucking rules. I’ve listened to it like ten times this week lol
I've always thought it was a good song but it didn't hit me like it did for so other people. Maybe it's one of those things that you have to experience live to truly appreciate it, or to have it really grow on you. EDIT: I listened to it a few minutes ago and it finally clicked for me. Incredible song. I got genuine chills and tears in my eyes when I listened to it.
To the surprise of no one the early merch situation at the south end zone of Raymond James was an absolute shit show. Of course Florida had to be embarrassing.
