It's from the album they were working on before they broke up. It was pretty far along and fans have been dying to hear it for over 10 years. I'm still hopeful they might return to it one day but after Doug's passing who knows if they will.
So something must be coming at some point? They wouldn't play this if they didn't intend it to be released... right? Are we back in delulu mode?
I'm loving seeing my video posted in places I meant to share it to whenever I finally got service after escaping Dodger Stadium. Currently trapped in the parking lot for probably forever but totally worth it.
This is crazy, song definitely rocks. I am optimistic for an official release but this band can be butts, like when they relearned/rewrote Sister to Sleep to play once at a random show on the reunion tour.
Idk, it does give me slightly more hope that they haven't just completely abandoned that stuff but it also could just be a one off performance as a tribute to Doug.
A while back some guy on Reddit posted some leaked titles from The Paper Kingdom that included "War Beneath the Rain" and "Dogs". Hmm. I want to believe lol.
I don't know if it's the same guy but someone just posted this as well https://www.reddit.com/r/MichaelRomance/comments/1maatl0/mcr5_operation_day_snip/
Gerard also said something along the lines of "if you're not here tomorrow night, I'm sure we'll be seeing you again soon." I've been pretty pessimistic about new stuff, but that, to me at least, made it seem like they have some future plans already in mind. And I don't think they'd go out (again) without new material.
I was going to make a reply about how we don't have to defend the band from not being self-aware all the time buuuuuut... See My Chemical Romance perform an unreleased song, War… | Kerrang! Apparently they did it because the family of Doug McKean (the late producer) was in attendance and the song was dedicated to him, which I did not know. So never mind.
Just did the math, approximately 23 fridays remain this year aka 23 more chances for an album or a single to be released
Just got back from Dodger stadium. Amazing show. Was super hyped to get Cemetery Drive and Foundations of Decay was a nice surprise as well. I would have swapped the Smashing Pumpkins cover for literally any other MCR song though
