  1. I’m not sure how it works, but I turned it off because I was noticing specifically the volume cut on albums by … a lot.

If you have a good setup but not actually Dolby then I definitely recommend turning it off at all times

Kinda scared to check the rerelease out based on comments, the original intro and outro of give em hell kid are kinda my favorite parts of any of their songs

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Like I mean of all the things to mess with... lol

After giving it a full listen, I'm sure like if I was giving both versions a first listen, there might be things I like better on the new version. It is cool to hear some new parts that stand out now. I think I might like the bridge to Ghost more on this one. But at the end of the day, that'll probably be my only listen cause I wouldn't replace the original in my head with this haha.

Instead of making new albums, just keep remaking the old ones. It's genius!

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

If this was the mix in 2004 MCR would not have taken off. The “loudness wars” version was perfect for a scene band that was getting major label offers before their debut.

I will say, the mix on the live BBC recordings is absolutely terrible and you can't hear anything over the bass and drums haha

I feel like a rerecording of the debut is the only potentially fun "remake" project left that would be fun if they're intent on not making new music

I am enjoying this, think the mix really elevates some parts of songs that were lost in the original. Now, I will say that the original mix is so familiar to me that this new one really did throw me off in some parts, but I can appreciate what they did. I think I can equally enjoy both of them separately, though the original in its intention and my nostalgia are still superior to me.
