I'm probably too attached to the originals to properly appreciate this. The main differences I notice are things that don't sound right haha.
Disclaimer, I am listening on phone speakers at like 25% volume - a couple of things on Helena made me think wow have I just missed that for 20 years or whatever? But GEHK almost sounds like it was re-recorded lol
This is a cool listen, but I really love the original production so much it feels unnecessary to me. Would have preferred the band to put out something new, but still a cool artifact!
hate when reissues like this don't even include all the bonus material that's already out there. at least put on Desert Song man
wow this is not just a spit-and-polish job, this sounds significantly different. and....possibly better?
Just got to Fashion Statement. My god. This is like listening to this for the first time again. Kind of floored by this.
my only reservation so far is they may have gone slightly overboard in boosting (and possibly sweetening?) Gerard's vocals in some spots
Linkin park did the same thing for the deluxe version of from zero. Also Green Day did the same thing for the deluxe version of saviors
It is fun to have a slightly different version of my favourite album to listen to though, and giving both versions a listen today just reminds me how much I love it.
weird theory but what if My Chemical Romance is performing Three Cheers in full and the real headliner of the Long Live tour is fictional band The Black Parade performing their self-titled album in full....
This is so bizarre listening to. Really appreciating the clarity at certain points but other times my ears feel like they’re playing tricks on me. Give em Hell almost feels jarring to listen to. The intro feels like a demo version but then the choruses are soooo clear.
probably can't get to this new mix today, but i've gone ahead and found it elsewhere in case it gets scrubbed from Apple Music
