Routing for this tour has a LOT of open dates, makes me wonder if further shows added or second nights.
They should just take up residency at guaranteed rate for a few months and save folks the misery of another white sox season. Chemo rock opera is way way way less depressing
I was referring more to entirely new dates being added. More second nights during the weekend are definitely possible as I think all the dates are Friday or Saturday.
I passed on Toronto tickets this morning. Couldn’t find anything half decent for less than $200, and I’m not paying that. I’ll grab something closer to the date
Yeah I passed on Chicago tix this morning. I was 32,000 in line, and by the time I got in everything was $450-$700 except for the highest nosebleeds (which were still like $250). I love MCR, but not $450 impulse purchase worth of love.
Damn forgot to buy tickets lol but I’m sure resale will go down closer to the day, already confirmed with my bud in Seattle babyygy
I tend to impulse buy tickets but even this show was way too much, I think I got Metallica pit tickets for like $400- $500, but the best tickets being $800 and above is mindblowing, also the metallica tickets were for two days.
I had this same thought but the soldier aspect makes me think going to Oasis the night prior will turn me off from two nights in a row. Have you been to soldier field before? It’s pretty miserable in a lot of ways but getting there and out of there is dreadful.
I have not but I’d imagine it’s a pain yep haha. Don’t wanna pay for a hotel so I’d probably stay with my friend in Boystown so I’ll be hoofing it to one of the red line stops on state street in the loop after
Joined right at on-sale yesterday and the cheapest tickets I could find by the time I got past the queue were double what I paid for Taylor Swift tickets last year. Definitely going to wait to see if prices come down as we get closer.
Just responded to a comment on Reddit where someone brought up The Eras Tour as an example to justify MCR's exorbitant pricing. I reminded them that Eras Tour's most expensive standard ticket was $450 and did not use any dynamic or platinum pricing at all (I do believe there were some premium VIP packages though), so MCR's tickets are actually significantly more expensive and some are 2x the price of Eras tickets considering LA floor tickets are going for as much as $855
I love the band but at the end of the day it is their fault that dynamic pricing is turned on and there is still a lot of tickets available with high ass prices. I wonder if and when does the cost of those tickets go down if they don't sell.
We gotta put bandit thru college I guess! I have no idea how old she is. In my head she's still a baby
Man I must have gotten really lucky on Friday getting tickets to the Philly show, I only had 1000 in front of me in the queue and I got tickets in the 100 section for $170 (still a lot but not nearly as bad as what I've been hearing)
Just gonna leave this here… “It was easy to set ticket prices, but you need to be pig-headed. We didn’t allow dynamic pricing because it’s a scam that would disappear if every artist said, ‘I don’t want that!’ But most artists hide behind management. ‘Oh, we didn’t know,’ they say. They all know. If they say they do not, they’re either fucking stupid or lying. It’s just driven by greed.” Robert Smith blasts artists over inflated ticket prices weeks after Oasis fiasco
I've been thiking of this Robert Smith quote the whole time while watching people talk about these ticket prices. This band isn't what they used to be, they changed after Black Parade. Even Danger Days felt phoned-in imo. Now they're just a nostalgia act. It is what it is but it's a bit sad...
They're only a nostalgia act in the sense that they've released two new songs in the past decade, the criticism about the ticket prices is fair and valid.
