Have they ever actually explicitly said anywhere that they're playing TBP all the way through? All the branding I'm looking at just calls it the "Long Live The Black Parade" tour, nothing about a full album play I mean... I'm sure that's what it is because they did it at WWWY but still... I'm trying not to let myself get too hyped about the possibility of new music but it's getting hard not to
you actually might have a point, I feel like I have only heard assumptions that it's TBP front to back
They haven’t. All the language used by the band talks about the in-universe band The Black Parade playing together again. I highly doubt this is them playing the album A) a year before the anniversary B) with entirely new branding and aesthetic when they could hook in the old lapsed fans with the og TBP style
Also got an email from WWWY today with this wording “Have you heard the news? The legends themselves My Chemical Romance have announced their show at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 26th performing The Black Parade in its entirety.”
Yeah but that's also the name of the in-universe band That email from WWWY could be making assumptions too
Press release: Warner Records Press | My Chemical Romance Definitely the possibility of new music but the main draw is the album in full.
I believe several of the venues specific posts on Wednesday also indicated “Black Parade in its entirety” like MetLife and Dodger Stadium
I still can’t get over that these shows have a 6pm scheduled start time (except MetLife which is 5:15, but that’s the only show with 2 announced openers). Doors for Seattle are like 4:30pm It would surprise me because they only averaged 90 minutes or so on the 2022 tour, but perhaps they have the Eras Tour effect and are going to be playing quite a long set on this tour. I can’t imagine why else it would be that early of a start unless they’re going to end up stacking 2 more openers each night.
That's because they are playing all their albums, and then hosting a listening party for the new one.
HA wow that's criminal. At first I thought they may even be adding second nights in each city, but I cant imagine at these Taylor Swift level prices they move too fast.
