I unfortunately think we have got the only Geoff produced MCR album already. This is def the Black Parade tour, they’d be stupid not to. Just hope we get a new song like we did with Foundations.
I didn’t really notice that neither were mentioned but I’d argue that they are pop-punk and I’m not sure how much they play into this story. Great book highly recommended, especially for AbsolutePunk/Chorus people
Now I'm just hoping for a tour, but I shouldn't get my hopes up quite yet. I don't want to be disappointed.
The reunion tour never came to DC so I haven't seen them since 2011 and would be thrilled to finally get to see them again (should I be happy @cricketandclover ?) but I do agree that teasing a 19-year anniversary tour (?) with a seemingly brand new aesthetic would be pretty disappointing, although a chance to see one of my top 5 favorite albums ever played live would still rule I can't think of a connection to TBP that caption would have?
If after all the chatter about not wanting to be a legacy act they pull this level of cryptic just to announce a TBP anniversary tour, it would honestly be the first time I lose faith in this band's artistic integrity
The amount of complaining about this band wanting to tour playing one of the most important albums from the scene is genuinely wild to me lol
Yeah I’m just happy with them being active. I trust them. New music will happen if/when it’s meant to. Excited to see them again!
This isn't really that hard to figure out, is it? Their reunion, especially with a new single, had people frothing for a new album, and the longer we go without that potential fulfilled, the more frustrated people will become. It's been years now without so much of a whisper of any possible new music. This on top of the fact that their touring setlists have been so all encompassing that they've probably performed every track on that album live several times over, plus the b-sides, so a tour celebrating said album doesn't seem nearly as special as it otherwise might.
I think the fact that there hasn’t been a whisper of new music should actually be keeping people’s frustration at bay. They’re not out here teasing new album endlessly. If there is one, hooray, but otherwise you get what you get
Yeah, but people aren't like that and I think you know that. When things are quiet, people will hallucinate announcements. They'll dissect anything, looking for secret information. People believe what they want and will reality to follow suit.
