lukewarm take (?) Danger Days is probably my personal sentimental favorite but Three Cheers, not TBP feels more like their *masterpiece* to me
Score before bed: Early Sunsets Over Monroeville-7 Our Lady Of Sorrows-8 Drowning Lessons-7 Demolition Lovers-8 Skylines and Turnstiles-15 Romance-0 Headfirst For Halos-6 Honey, This Morror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us-9
I don't not like them, I just wouldn't consider myself a fan if that makes sense. I know some of their songs and have listened to most of their albums a few times but I would be lost in this bracket ha
The morning scores Early Sunsets Over Monroeville-10 Our Lady Of Sorrows-8 Drowning Lessons-7 Demolition Lovers-11 Skylines and Turnstiles-17 Romance-1 Headfirst For Halos-8 Honey, This Morror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us-10 Wow most of these rounds are close.
Our Lady Of Sorrows Drowning Lessons (Hardest choice on the album by far) Skylines and Turnstiles Headfirst For Halos
Most of my picks are on a pretty surface listen (I honestly need to listen to this album more I think, because I've been enjoying this): Early Sunsets Over Monroeville (Chose this because it felt more different to the rest of the album. Our Lady of Sorrows is good, but I feel like they did songs like that better elsewhere on the album). Drowning Lessons (I actually know this one pretty well, so it got a bump, but Demolition Lovers is great) Skylines & Turnstiles Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For the Two of Us (This is one of the few from this album I've actually listened to as much as any other song, so again, it gets a bump just because I know it so well. This one was hard though.)
Our Lady Of Sorrows Demolition Lovers Skylines And Turnstiles Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us The last matchup was the toughest for me (again)
I think it goes well with bands that aren't very active/there's not much new things to discuss. For a band like Thrice, I think it wouldn't work very well with them gearing up for a tour, as well as preparing to record a new album. That's my opinion on the bracket business. It's cool when there's nothing much to discuss, as it creates some conversation. If there's stuff to discuss, it can be a little distracting.
We should just put the brackets in new threads. Start a thread called "The Thrice Bracket" or something like that and just promote the bracket in the band thread to attract those who would be interested. But yeah, seeing people angry about those brackets makes me want to do more too.
