I really hope so, I can't imagine they get back together for a huge tour playing all of their shit and write such an amazing song and be happy just leaving it at that.

I dunno, from a certain point of view, that's exactly the kind of thing I'd expect a band to do if they were trying to put a cap on their career...

At the very least, I still think a live show is going to come out at some point, either as a live album or movie. There was a clip of I think Ray or Frank listening to a mix of a very HQ live version of Our Lady of Sorrows, I think it was. Plus they were clearly filming several dates.

    Sometimes I forget they reunited.

    Kind of a shame.

Yeah I can see that, I just can't imagine this band doing that sort of thing. I feel like Ray/Frank at least would definitely want to make new music and I can't see Gerard doing the whole thing just for shows either. Unless they had intentions to do more and changed their mind as it went on I'd still bet on them doing more at some point, even if it takes a while. I'm still hoping they're working on an album, I have to dream big in this life.

I think MCR is really back and it’s not just a one-off. But I think that means something different to them, than to us. I think we’ll likely see more Foundations-esque drops in the future but it’ll never be a full time thing for them as it once was.

  7. I still think we're going to get a huge full blown album campaign when we least expect it. I mean, that's how we got Foundations Of Decay.

Just don't think it's going to happen this year but who knows with them?

I can't remember where it was, but wasn't a working album title leaked a few months back. Also, before they broke up, didn't they also have a bunch of a new album called 'Paper Kingdom' in the bag?

Personally I reckon there's more music to come, but I'm not sure we'll get it conventionally, whether that be in the form of random drops, a long wait for an album, or even just dropped it completely out of the blue.

It'd seem very strange to me for the band to come back as big as they did, play the shows the way they did, and all of the cryptic nods to a new concept and era to not follow through with it in some way at some stage. But who knows? I could be completely wrong.

HasItLeaked claimed that they had booked studio time for recording. And around the same time, another leaker leaked snippets of Paper Kingdom songs, which was the abandoned follow up to Black Parade. However no one person was willing to pay their price for the album, and it was collecting too much attention so the sale was shut down and he disappeared.

Paper Kingdom was the abandoned follow-up to Danger Days. And there was a single person that ended up purchasing the songs, but as far as I can tell they've hoarded them.

Huh. Could’ve sworn paper kingdom was such a downer that they rebounded super hard into Danger Days, but I’m probably remembering it wrong.

probably mixing up Paper Kingdom and Conventional Weapons. CW turned into Danger Days, Paper Kingdom was the depressing one from right before the band ended

I’m convinced they have an album in the bag ready to go and it’ll be the whole big machine rollout.

I have zero evidence of that.

I’d like to believe that’s true but Frank going full steam ahead with L.S. Dunes now has me convinced otherwise.

Yeah this doesn’t feel like a money grab but it did feel like “hey the people want this, we want this, we can make millions each and then fuck off, win/win/win” scenario.

Even if it is/was a money grab. It’s still win win. “We can tour for a year and make millions of dollars each? Why not”

Yeah I think if anyone had the chance to work for a year and then not have to work or do passion projects for the next 5-10 years, we’d all do it haha

I mean...we are coming up on 4 years of the reunion announcement. I think if they had an album in the bag, or were close to being done with one, we would know by now.

  19. i don't think thats necessarily true, if they want us to know about an album being done, they will let us know.

Four years isn’t fair. Everything was pushed back because of COVID for what, two years?

But who knows. I think it’s 50/50 that they could have something ready (or are reworking something) vs maybe it was just a tour.

The COVID shutdown could have given them a lot of time to write/record more.

What makes you say that? I just assumed it was merch of his photography or a tour book, but I’d be pumped if it was a doc.
