It's always been my least favourite. There's parts I really like but mostly I find it kind of clunky both musically and lyrically.
If I recall right when Gerard did that song by song reflection on twitter I think he said this same thing but also said it was his favorite song on DD.
It was one of the few they kept from the Conventional Weapons sessions and I think most of those songs are better than it too. It seems a lot of people really like it though, it just doesn't jive with me as well as most of their stuff does.
Gerard also said he thought Desert Song should have been the last song on Revenge as well and as much as I adore that song I couldn't disagree more with that, haha.
I'm not sure what it was, but I think Danger Days songs translated to the stage the best. I saw them three times, once at WT in 2005 and it was mostly 3 Cheers songs, once during the Black Parade tour, and once during the DD tour (gaslight anthem opened right when I was getting into them so it was super bonus) and I just felt like the DD show had the most energy and was the most fun MCR experience.
Also someone earlier asked about the BSides and EP. Desert Song will be on Cheers Bracket TBP BSides will be on TBP Conventional Weapons will have its own bracket Not doing Desolation Row because it's a cover
I like sing only because Glenn Beck ripped on it and hated it, That instantly makes me like it. It is one of the weaker DD songs though
Brackets don't start conversations. There's only more conversation about this band on the last 2-3 pages than this thread has seen in a month. What are the odds?
I hate to burst your bubble, cockroach, but we have all seen the same thing in the other threads. Just like in a fight amongst all the small punches and dodging there are spectacular techniques, amongst the votes there are conversations. Humans are just foolish by nature and cannot connect the dots to know when they are on the wrong side. Like Yamcha.
Talks trash in other threads, comes in this one and plays the victim. Human logic baffles me, I don't get what Kakarot sees in you!
