Ticketmaster JUST paid out my ticket to the Boston date that I was selling... which was supposed to happen two years ago today.
From setlist fm I’ll definitely be happily chilling in the back half of the crowd for their set at wwwyf, not tryna get astroworlded
The wwwyf set might also be so short that you wouldn’t have time to asphyxiate anyway lol Kidding, kind of
He told the crowd to back up multiple times in MI, thankfully they listened each time and the crowd got better after.
Crowd was nuts, completely different from the arena GA floor in Detroit. Just a massive swath of basically every person at Riot, smashed together and falling over, and inexperienced/unfamiliar fans passing out and not knowing what to do. I was about 5 people back from the stage. I did okay and the several free waters I got helped. Setlist was super good though.
It hasnt been this bad at riot fest for a headliner since System of a Down. And I didn’t even end up going this year but from reading everything it was crazy
Riot Fest was terrible. First time going but definitely the last. Bummer that it felt like MCR was really about to have a special performance that was totally ruined by having to stop and pause after every song. Could have played at least 2 more full songs if it weren’t for that. Gerard going for a Jackie Kennedy look (in heels) was pretty badass though
I was so far back in the crowd because I watched nearly all of Bleachers but this was still so much fun. Got four of my five favorite MCR songs.
Probably didn't help that there were people who sprinted to barricade as soon as doors opened up. The Riot Fest account actively promoted this. How many of those people left their post to get water or food or out of the sun?
Holy fuck I totally forgot I’m seeing them tomorrow. Kind of annoyed there were bands I actually enjoy opening most other shows so far but I guess I can just get there later…
Even if you don't like 100 gecs (I do but I totally get it haha) that should be quite the spectacle at least?
LostAlone, some band I hate that is funnily enough from the city I live lol. I had to endure them like 10 years ago multiple times when I went to see MCR and they're just as grating now.
the only time I've ever heard of them is when they open for MCR haha. I genuinely forgot they existed until I saw Frank Turner was opening for them at the Eden Sessions which is where I saw them, so I looked it up excitedly to see he was playing the day before and we were getting LostAlone. I was well pissed!
I guess. And it’s not like there’s any shortage of me seeing Thursday play 9 FC songs since they came back..lol
