thank you for the venom for real has like one of the most perfect and enthralling vocal performances I have ever heard in a song. it’s wild. there’s such a passion and urgency in that performance, from the way Gerard enters with that whispery vocal fry that grows tenser and tenser until he just explodes with the scream and launches into the main (incredibly expressive) verse melody, to the way he delivers the line “give me a reason to BUHlieeeeeve” in the pre-chorus, and right into one of the most spine-chilling (and unreal catchy) melodies Way ever wrote with the chorus. just impeccable work. and like honestly beyond that just instrumentally and with how it fits into the context of the record too it just starts perfect and so fucking gripping and never lets up from there. otherworldly tune.
one of the better live videos i've seen of it (mostly cuz you get to actually see ray going sicko mode)
them all wearing mikey fuckin way shirts i missed the boat on getting that shirt and now its gone in my size
for me its Black Parade followed Immediately by Three Cheers. I like Bullets but I just don't return to it that often. I do not care at all for DD or most of CW.
I made a list of all the songs that have been played by album throughout the entire tour if anyone was curious. They have played a total of 39 different songs since the start of the tour. Revenge & Danger Days have the most number of songs played off them. (EDIT: I added stars to the songs that have been played every night, or almost every night minus 1 or 2) Bullets Our Lady of Sorrows Headfirst for Halos Skylines & Turnstiles (Euro only so far) This is the Best Day Ever (US only) Revenge Helena* (skipped once, in OKC) Give 'em Hell Kid* (skipped for a few shows) Prison (Euro only so far) Not Okay* Ghost of You* (played most nights but not every show) Thank You for the Venom* (skipped for a few shows) Hang 'em High (US only) Deathwish (Euro only so far) Cemetery Drive (Euro only so far) Black Parade This is How I Disappear (Euro only so far) Welcome to the Black Parade* House of Wolves Cancer (Euro only so far) Mama* Sleep Teenagers* Famous Last Words* Danger Days Na Na Na* Bulletproof Heart/Trans Am The Only Hope For Me Is You (Euro only so far) Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back (Euro only so far) Scarecrow (Euro only so far) Summertime* (played most nights but not every show) Destroya* The Kids from Yesterday Vampire Money* Conventional Weapons Boy Division* Tomorrow's Money The World Is Ugly (US only) Make Room Surrender the Night (Euro only so far) Other Foundations of Decay* Bury Me in Black (US only) Heaven Help Us (Euro only so far) Mastas of Ravenkroft Not Played (Yet?) Honey This Mirror Vampires Will Never Hurt You Drowning Lessons Early Sunsets Cubicles Demolition Lovers To The End Jetset Life I Never Told You The End Dead! The Sharpest Lives I Don't Love You (soundchecked and cut from the printed setlist multiple times) Disenchanted Sing Planetary (Go) Party Poison Ambulance Gun The Light Behind Your Eyes Kiss the Ring Burn Bright Kill All Your Friends My Way Home Is Through You Desolation Row Zero Percent We Don't Need Another Song About California Desert Song
Truly shocking that they haven't played Vampires, To The End, Dead and Sharpest Lives. Especially with what they've been busting out I would love to hear Honey, Drowning, Demolition and Kill All Your Friends but I'm less surprised on those not being played
Nothing would be surprising at this point. I love it. Never would have guessed MCR setlists would become so unpredictable.
In a interview someone posted I’m pretty sure Frank said they had a pool of 45 songs to pick from. So assuming that was an exact number there’s a few more surprises left
