I like 2 songs on Bullets, “tomorrow’s money”, and the new one. I saw them open for Blink and I just sat in my seat and hung out with my brother while we waited for Blink, and then got screamed at by some random dudes because we weren’t standing up. But whatever. The new song rules.
I remember when Danger Days came out I was pretty much made to feel dumb on AP that Na Na Na was my favorite song of the year lol
I never said I was perfect haha. But honestly I’ve only listened to like 2 MCR albums. So don’t listen to me.
I have to admit I didn't like the new song at first. It sounded sort of generic compared to what they've written in the past. But man has it grown on me. The space-y ness of the whole atmosphere makes it really special.
I'm going to Stockholm! Was able to take two vacation days in June instead which means that I'll see them in an amusement park instead of a stadium. Weird setting for a band like MCR, hah. But I'm just so happy that I wont be missing out on this tour! Now I'm gonna blast the new song without the feeling of regret. Also, it will have been 15 years, almost to the day, since I last them which is kinda cool.
I think I officially to like Conventional Weapons more than the first two albums. I definitely return to that more than the first two. I totally get why they scrapped it, but I love the entire vibe. I almost feel like it could be the soundtrack to a dark vigilante/superhero type of movie. Three Cheers was my shit when it came out my senior year of high school though.
I like it better than Bullets for sure. Not more than the other three though Their discography is flawless to be fair
As I previously posted, I also like Weapons more than the first two albums. With Cheers it's a very close run thing though.
I’m sure this has already been said or maybe they intended it this way but the verses of Cancer sound exactly like Look What You’ve Done by Jet
I'm in the same boat. Somehow that's the first MCR album I connected with, before I did a deeper dive into the rest of their discography, so I tend to go towards that one the most still to this day.
I just like it cause it's fuckin dope. It easily could've been another huge album for them IMO, if they actively pushed it in a normal album cycle. And it's an interesting and varied array of songs. I think the fact that it has no discernable overall concept actually works in its favor.
I would love to see them play "Burn Bright" at my Cincinnati gig in August, and I suppose it would be cool for them to play it elsewhere too.
