I simply won’t be annoyed at a band for not playing shows because of COVID. Also, just throwing this out here, IF they did have other plans (and I’m pretty confident they did. About 100% confident) they would want those plans to coincide when they can actually play their shows.
I bet they decided to reunite to tour because it's an easy way to make hella money - I don't think we will get any new music from them
Rage Against The Machine and The Format are literally in the same boat but I don’t see people calling them “intentionally deceiving” or “ridiculous”…for not mentioning new music coming that they have never alluded to once (aka same as MCR)
I need Thursday to release new music and then so can mcr and then they can tour together and fulfill my dreams But if they don't that's okay I'll live with endless nostalgia tours tbh I'll take what I can get
Can't think of anything they would need a label for, unless they just plan to release a live recording? Does merch go through the label?
CAA isn’t a label, it’s a talent agency. They are (primarily) used to find people work in entertainment like film/TV auditions/roles. Will Ferrell used to be signed with them, for example. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creative_Artists_Agency https://www.wrapbook.com/blog/essential-guide-talent-agenices#toc-what-is-a-talent-agency- “The main job of talent agencies is to find work for their clients — actors, writers, directors, athletes, and other creative professionals. Talent agents can send actors on auditions, set up meetings, and negotiate contracts.”
Incredibly selfish and entitled take but I’d only want new music if the band was doing something new to their sound.
They have yet to put out a release that I didn't enjoy so I'll be happy with whatever they put out (if anything)
They could put out a record that’s 50 minutes of Gerard farting into a microphone while the rest of the band reads Wuthering Heights after sucking down helium and I would be the first in line to buy a $200 preorder with a branded pencil sharpener and car floor mats
