Back half of Revenge is pretty dope. When it first came out, I usually didn't make it past Venom but Hang 'em High rips so hard. Deathwish is great, Cemetery Drive is great, and I love Never Told You has the finale. They definitely loaded up the front half of Revenge with the more accessible songs, and I think the second half is a little closer to the types of songs they had on Bullets (although with more advanced songwriting skills).
top 5 MCR songs in no order; - Not a Fashion Statement - Our Lady of Sorrows - Give 'em Hell Kid - Disenchanted - Vampires (i love disenchanted)
Teenagers is a skipper when I'm listening on my own but it was the only my chem song I could easily blend into a DJ set so you bet I played that shit Disenchanted has always been my least favorite on TBP, literally since 06. I used to actually hate it and now I don't mind it. Also Bullets is my favorite album, just saying that to balance out apparent anti-Bullets sentiment lol I have a LOT of MCR opinions, imma dip before I start doing track by track analyses
back half of Three Cheers has its best songs, Jetset, Hang Em High, Venom, I Never Told You, all that shit is just pure gold. Sleep is rad, Teenagers is a fine pop song but my least favorite on TBP, In my head Conventional Weapons+Fake Your Death is an 11 track album that I love so much.
Back half 3 Cheers > front half Sleep is hurt a lot by production/mixing/masttmastering. Just let me hear G screaming goddammit!!!!! That's exactly how I listen to CW, but I want to switch the tracklist up a bit. Any suggestions?
Deathwish and I Never Told You are my two favourite songs of all time. Hang 'Em High isn't far behind. Second half of Revenge is insanely good.
Yeah, the whole second half of Three Cheers is just absurdly great. Lots of good memories screaming along to those songs in my bedroom as a teenager, haha.
I think it's worth considering adding the 4 tracks from Danger Days that were apart of Conventional Weapons before they scrapped it and started over (Bulletproof Heart, Only Hope, Party Poison, and Save Yourself were all carryovers). That way you have 14 songs to work with and can mix and match. Maybe something like: 1. Ambulance 2. Party Poison 3. Bulletproof Heart 4. Boy Division 5. Tomorrow's Money 6. Gun 7. The World is Ugly 8. The Only Hope For Me Is You 9. Kiss the Ring 10. Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back 11. Make Room 12. Surrender the Night 13. The Light Behind Your Eyes 14. Burn Bright
Definitely for me also, along with Famous Last Words and Bulletproof Heart which round out my top 3. The 2nd verse is some of my all-time favorite lyrics.
I Never Told You What I Do For A Living is definitely a top 5 mcr track for me. Glad to see it's getting some love.
Yeah, I know...unpopular opinion, but its ok. also, what is your profile picture from? It looks familiar and I can't figure it out.
