Saw them on Warped 05. Got an extra 5 minutes in San Diego and they played Headfirst for Halos (I think).

 

Just wanted to say fuck *** ****** who was supposed to cover my shift at the pizza place I worked at in high school on the day of Warped Tour 2005 and backed out that weekend so I had to work a double that day instead of seeing MCR, FOB, and Simple Plan for the first time. Then MCR finally was supposed to headline Red Rocks in 2006 and they CANCELED IT.

 

Saw them twice- on the Black Parade tour playing the album in full at an arena in NH, and then opening for blink on the Neighborhoods tour. Good times

 

every time the thread is bumped I'm expecting the UK shows to be cancelled.

 

Any day now I think...

well, I think they’ll be rescheduled again for summer 2022 and not canceled but have no idea what will happen.

 

well yeah, hopefully. I cba with getting tickets again.

Writer and cultural critic Hanif Abdurraqib is on this podcast called Bandsplain talking about MCR and some of his favorite songs (he also gets a little into his feelings about DD not being his fave). The host had v little knowledge of MCR but the point of the podcast seems to be having people explain their favorite bands to people that don’t know much about them.

 

Just found a reasonably priced GA ticket for Las Vegas.

UK/Europe shows are definitely going to get postponed any day now, with the UK Roadmap being released that will lift restrictions on large events starting June 21st. Still holding out hope for these fall dates though, I really think they're gonna happen.

 

I hope I'm vaccinated before the Boston show, otherwise I'm not going

Yeah at this rate I won't be vaccinated till May so should hopefully be plenty of time for the September show.

 

I've had the first vaccine and had covid without any symptoms so any chance I get im going. Sad it probably won't be June since it'll probably end up being next year if the US dates go ahead.

 

First time I saw My Chem was them opening for Green Day’s American Idiot tour at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Went with my dad and remember feeling very uncomfortable as Gerard somehow managed to work the word Fuck into every sentence.
