I think some of it really depends on the writing style of the guys tbh. For some people, it can be very challenging to collaborate remotely, but for others it's no problem
Even if there isn't music recorded yet, I don't see a scenario where they don't have songs written already. Especially if they've been reunited in part since 2017. But I imagine Gerard has had MCR ideas in his back pocket for many years.
Woe Thursday should be higher. I had a double take looking at their name. Also surprised no Deftones they’re usually on this.
I did a senior photo session tonight and the girl changed outfits into a MCR shirt after half the session. I was all, oh, that's awesome, did you get tickets to the show in Boston next year (initially this year, but then pushed thanks to COVID). She said no. I asked if she had ever seen them before, she said no, they broke up before she was born. I pretty much died there and then. Of course I then realized that wasn't the case, as they broke up when she was like 8 years old... but still... PAIN.
Wow that's pretty crazy. I saw them on Warped Tour the summer that Three Cheers came out. I'm ancient.
Yeah, twice in 2004 (warped and the OC Best Buy show incident My Chemical Romance Clash With Police At California Concert) and then at the Forum for the black parade tour.
My first time seeing them would have been Warped Tour 2005 in Denver, but I was working my high school pizza shop job and could not get my shift covered that day. It was an insanely busy double too and a terrible day. Also would have been my first time seeing Simple Plan and Fall Out Boy Live. Then they were announced for a special one-off show at Red Rocks (!!!) with All-American Rejects and Sugarcult, in August right before the Black Parade came out. The show was canceled a couple weeks before, possibly due to the FLW video injuries but really I think they canceled that string of shows in early August because they wanted the London Hammersmith show to be the first. They never got to play Red Rocks. So then I *finally* got to see them live for the first time on The Black Parade World Tour, at the Denver show in March 2007. Also got to go to two Projekt Rev shows that summer (Mountain View & Denver) and then the spring theater tour the following April when they played all those B-sides and deep cuts. Man, those tours were legendary. Top of their game as live performers.
Today is a Three Cheers and Black Parade kinda day. Finally a gray and lower temperature day here. Also, on top of watching Ernest Scared Stupid and Hocus Pocus on Halloween, The Black Parade Is Dead will be playing while carving pumpkins this year.
Was this posted already? The amount of sheer joy I experienced watching this guy listen to/watch MCR for the first time. This was so entertaining to watch
Warped ‘05 was something else and my first warped tour. Senses fail, story of the year, relient k, the starting line, atreyu, Hawthorne heights, fall out boy, avenged seven fold, my chemical romance, emery, a thorn for every heart plus so many others were on the bill. Getting back to mcr, I saw them on Warped Tour ‘05, three cheers... amphitheater tour, and at a radio show during the black parade tour cycle. I wasn’t the biggest MCR fan, but they definitely put on a great show. I read somewhere that Gerard got sober during the black parade tour cycle. I can’t imagine walking out on stage for the first time sober and being the biggest band in the world lol.
How likely is it do we think that those Urban Outfitters exclusive pressings will actually ship on the 30th?
Halloween...on Saturday, full moon, end of Daylight Savings Time, 1 year anniversary of announcing the reunion. Sounds like a great opportunity for this band to do something
I'm supposing this is heresy (was an opinion), but I read that it's very likely Gerard might disappear from social media because of all the critics out there?? I mean, he did leave Twitter. I dunno. I just ...i don't want to get my hopes up. Not like I follow much IG anyway tho.
