The fact that they refuse to clarify whether or not they reunited for new music or not feels too deliberate for it not to be new music and my theory is they're not giving interviews until after releasing music. But I've only ever been wrong when I try to predict what they do lol
I don't care whether they do or don't release new music. I've seen so many posts about people desperate for them to release new music; I'm just happy they're back together and playing live again.
I'm really hoping they do end up re-scheduling their Australian shows - I'll be devastated if COVID-19 ruins my chances of seeing them again.
Fans could still see My Chemical Romance perform in the UK this summer I know it’s still highly unlikely but selfishly I really still want to go to these shows.
My flight to London for June 18th has been canceled as of yesterday, so I'm pretty much SOL for getting the the MK show I have a ticket to.
Still have tickets in Boston in September and im nervous that even *that* will be canceled given the things I've been reading
Based on everything I'm hearing it doesn't sound likely that major arenas and stadiums will be opening up again in 2020. My expectations are low that this tour still happens. I'd love to be wrong though.
We’re less than three months into this very unprecedented situation yet people are able to confidently speculate what’s going to happen 5+ months from now... something doesn’t add up.
The virus doesn't look to be going away any time soon, and even when it does go away no major live venue is gonna wanna be the first ones to get 20,000 people in the same room. Scientists are already speculating that we're gonna get hit with a second wave in the Fall.
Yeah my main concern is the difference between "would" and "should" Should they reopen? Probably not. Will they open prematurely because of greed? Quite possibly. And I probably won't have the courage to risk it, so.. part of me kinda hopes you're right so Ticketmaster can be pressured to refund fans. As much as it sucks with how excited I've been for this
I think this is an important thing to consider. Whether or not people think it’s too early, the economy simply cannot stay completely shut down for much longer. Our president has already on two different occasions mentioned he wants to “re-open” the economy. Sports, live music, etc - they all want to start up again as soon as humanly possible. Realistically, the lockdowns and travel bans won’t be in effect past summer. Even if the guidance says otherwise.
Who were you flying with as I still have flights back home on June 15th... I don’t think it’s going to happen
It was Finnair. My return flight is British Air and hasn't been canceled yet so I have to figure that out, ugh.
Welp, Donald Trump has said we should re-open twice now so I guess that means we should! You heard the man!
It's worth noting that in the UK where we're increasingly coming under fire for the slow response to the crisis, the vast majority of public events and spectator sports took matters into their own hands and cancelled events or put them behind closed doors before the government officially announced a lockdown. I don't know what things are like in America at the moment, but I expect you'll probably find the entertainment industry is pretty responsible about these things.
Did you not read my post? My point was literally that it doesn’t matter what scientists, the WHO, experts, etc. say, because our man child of a president doesn’t listen and will force the economy to reopen no matter what.
You’re the one in here using your energy to oppose anyone who thinks the lockdown and bans will last beyond summer. Dress it up however you like, I can do without your attitude in this thread right now.
Then unfollow the thread. You’re twisting my words to fit your narrative. It’s a discussion on which nobody truly knows the outcome of what’s happening. The attitude is only towards you because you’re being an ass.
You said these exact words: Whether or not people think it’s too early, the economy simply cannot stay completely shut down for much longer. I’ve seen a lot of people saying garbage like this the past few weeks. Makes it pretty clear who values the economy over human lives.
Yes I did say that, but along with my other points of discussion, it was not because *I* think that’s what should happen. It’s because it’s what I think is very likely to happen no matter what because of the greed of our world leaders. I never said it was a good thing. It’s just that world leaders want it to happen. It’s definitely not me “opposing anyone who says otherwise”. Now people are judging my character because of what my prediction that our (terrible) president has already said multiple times he wants to do.
