The statement does note Download would attempt to bring MCR back for headline shows in 2020 in lieu of the festival. Not sure how they plan to do that after alienating them with such a shitty statement.
I don't really know Paramore either! I mean, I've heard the band, but i couldn't tell you who's in it but some frontwoman singer. Does that make me Frank cool yet?? :p
Seriously go listen to Paramore. I'd say start with either Riot! or Brand New Eyes personally. All their records are great but I think those two are probably most likely to resonate with someone who is into MCR style pop punk.
for whatever it's worth both of those songs have been in the Harry Fox database (it's like a license middle man) since before the reunion. just saw this tho, Matt Pelissier has a writing credit on The Only Hope For Me Is You
That's strange, he has no credit inside the album booklet whatsoever and this is the first I've ever heard of his name being attached to anything post-Revenge, especially something off Danger Days.
He also has writing credits on Famous Last Words, House Of Wolves, and Mama. I reckon they probably demo'd these tunes before he was dismissed, and seeing that the band's crediting habit is to give credit to everyone, there he be. The impression I've always gotten is that Gerard and Ray are the main creative forces, does anybody know anything more specific about that?
I've also heard that one of the session drummers from Danger Days, The Wook (Dorian Crozier) actually played drums on The Black Parade, but I suspect that info may be an inaccurate commingling of his work on Danger Days with TBP.
On the subject of My Chem drummers, I think Matt Pellisier is way way way under appreciated. He was imperfect, his feel leaned over the beat and his fills are stiff, but he hits the drums with this NWOBHM vibe that to my ears brings the simmering Maiden/Ozzy influence right up to the top. Something I've come to love about the early years is how the sound is a mixture of scene band and jersey longhairs.
I think Ray and Gerard are often the first ones to bring a song idea to the table but everyone writes their own parts so it seems pretty even. I know Frank wrote the riff that became House of Wolves, but he typically writes harmonies for whatever Ray and Gerard bring to the table. Idk if that makes them the "main" creative forces or just the initiating forces.
I think he was just posting a picture of himself and captioned it with today’s date. I don’t think there’s more to it than that.
i feel pretty confident that this working from home has got me completely mixed up on my days lol ugh
I'm fairly convinced that the lolaplusG twitter account is Gerard's. It's pretty whacky, in a very Gerard way
