A fourth post could help! Seriously tho, hope everyone that wants to see them gets to see them! They were good opening for The Used on the MTV $2 Dollar Bill Tour back in like 2003... Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
y'all complaining about the prices and saying they're "unreasonable" or "ridiculous" pretty clearly don't understand basic econ 101 huh
now that my friend secured two seats for the second LA show, I wonder who's opening this tour/show...
Even if his album underperformed, his Umbrella Academy stuff was incredibly successful. He doesn't need money.
To be honest, Toronto did get a bit fucked on this one. For two tickets in nosebleed seats, it was 240+. Anything lower than a 300 level was 450+
lots of people showing their bare asses online today and revealing they never took even a community college level math class
I'm not sure I understand the point you're trying to make here. Those prices for a reunion tour, where no openers have been announced and you're dropping close to $500 for two people on a night out is a bit of a stretch.
if the show sells out, there are clearly more than enough people more than willing to pay whatever the price is. the rate this is selling and they're having to add shows, they probably could have pretty easily charged more. it's basic supply and demand, man
i believe the point is supposed to be 'supply & demand,' though I do think the prices are a tad steep
So did you want me to pull up the number of scalper tickets that were purchased and are now being sold for 750+? Look at bands like Pearl Jam who work out things with Ticketmaster to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen and fans actually can attend these shows for a reasonable cost and put blockers in place for this type of shit.
Will you actually do the math? Because I guarantee it’s still less than 10% of the total capacity. These are nearly 20,000 seat arenas and there’s maybe a couple hundred tops up for resale
I get that, I do. For instance, on StubHub right now there are about 650 tickets being resolved. If you go through Ticketmaster itself there's just about as much through their Verified Reseller Option so 1,300 give or take. Throw in the ones that will be there outside the venue. Also, throw in the absolute shit that is the Official Platinum tickets that TicketMaster holds onto and jacks the price 10 fold. EDIT: The point I'm trying to make here, is they need to understand the economy is different in Canada than it is in the States, so having ticket prices the exact same cost (with the conversion) makes things far more difficult for people up here.
