Nah, they were spotted at an NYC rehearsal space all the way back in June. They've always been planning a huge comeback. I just think whatever happened with Coachella threw a wrench into their planned roll out.
It's like a huge secret is being kept under the blanket, or it's like a cadaver about to be uncovered bc MCR had faked their death and all.
lol I like to imagine that there is no announcement and whoever runs the MCR account is like “haha I like this picture I hope MCR fans do too. Also heres a spooky emoji because emo!”

If MCR was going to do a secret rehearsal for a reunion, why do it in NYC where it’s likely to leak. Go practice in some random ass studio not in a hugely popular city. Rehearse in some redneck’s cabin in the woods who no one will believe.
It was right before Frank’s tour so it was likely rehearsal for that. Their post before the reunion show said they rehearsed for 39 days, so I’m thinking the June rumor wasn’t true. They would have been in a recording studio at that point maybe, but not live rehearsal.
Yeah, MCR wasn't in NY. No point in Frank lying about it at this point. But we do know that they started playing again in 2017. We just don't know if/when that changed from having fun and messing around with friends to something more seriously
I just hope I manage to get tickets hah. My best guess is the nearest show will be Boston and I imagine that venue will have a big demand
