Nah, Black Deer. It’s a Country/Americana festival. If it was hellfest I wouldn’t be thinking of potentially bailing on it for MCR haha.
I've never been to either, but would much rather see them at the bowl than inside a stadium. I'll definitely make the trek back to the UK if they play this gig.
Also, just to point out since there have already been a few "fake" posters, this isn't quite MCR's new logo. Similar font, but not quite. Some of the letters, particularly the I in the band name, are a little smeared at the bottom. None of the fake posters I've seen have had the correct logo, just a similar Trajan-esque font. This band is always pretty consistent with its branding.
So....all this talk of touring...well...it got me thinking about my journey with this band. 5 years ago I was preparing for a local show here and was thinking "this is cool, but I wonder when MCR are coming around here again." Well, as you know, they were broken up at the time and when I found out, I was bummed. However, it got me into discovering the rest of their discography past Three Cheers (well, I had heard the hits of Black Parade, but other than Famous Last Words, I wasn't really into the aesthetic as much as Three Cheers). Anyway, so I finally got into TBP (boy I was missing out! Great record!), and Danger Days, and Bullets (not in that exact order, but Bullets is my favorite album now so I ended on that). Oh, and then of course, Conventional Weapons. But back to touring. Now that they're back, I'm afraid I won't be able to go, even if they do tour locally, because it seems these days the shows are more crowded, are standing only, and for a comeback, might be a little longer. I don't know about you folks, but I can't stand that long (have bad legs to begin with) and I can't seem to go more than an hour without a bathroom break (lol of course I could be perfectly fine at home sometimes, but in public...different story). Ha! Anyway, yeah, I don't know. When I was young, every concert I went to was in an arena type facility with seats. I mean, maybe MCR will tour like that this time, but I just don't know. Like, they might just do a festival instead. But I mean, isn't it just ironic, I rediscover them, am dying to see them, even imagining meeting them and then when they do return, I'm most likely unable to go. Oh well! Here's hoping they release more music. At least that I can enjoy!...and there's always YouTube videos. I know that's not the same though...but it's "safer". Lol For the record, I'm genuinely happy for anyone who gets to see them. And I have to add that at least I was able to arrange seating for Frank's tour with the Cellebration and meet him afterwards. I'll never forget that!
Travis Scott & BMTH coheadling is weird, and the font of Asking Alexandria's logo is out of date. Otherwise, this seems like it *could* be legit.
Fake Reading and Leeds posters are like a tradition, just FYI. There used to be a thread on the official forums dedicated to created and compiling them. They're more about predictions than leaks. Also, "UK exclusive" and the tease for a June 10th show are contradictory statements.
Not me Googling what time it is in the UK each day multiple times to figure out if it’s too late that day for something to get announced.
This years festival drops etc has been a clusterfuck. So bored of waiting for some of the big festival lineup drops and MCR too.
why would you tease a show for 11 days at this point, i'm so confused...and then release a weird ass ten second video tease with no indication of what it's even about...god i hate loving this band
Woah woah! Calm down! I know it's frustrating but there's nothing but love for this band IMO. Yeah, yeah. I'm tired and I dunno what I'm thinking. Free speech IS great. Guess I just don't like anyone getting so upset. :/ Can I go back to bed now? :P
That one thread you guys got on this forum now has Heaven Help Us stuck in my head. Lol You know the one I'm talking about, right?
aw i was mostly kidding, i'm one of those people for whom curiosity is a very uncomfortable feeling, but i'd still wait another six years for this band in a heartbeat. i mean if i HAD to haha. also, dreads frank as your profile picture? when there are so many better pictures of him? disrespectful lol
Must admit that the reunion rollout has been very strange. We're almost at the 3-month point (an eternity) since they officially announced their reunion and all we've gotten so far was the actual reunion show two months later and a handful of one-off performance announcements but mostly radio silence all around.
I don't think they have a grand plan tbh. I think they just thought it'd be fun to play together again and are taking things one step at a time after they realized the impact they had with their first show. I could be wrong, of course.
