I agree Riot Fest seems like a better fit. I haven’t been to Riot Fest, and only went to Lolla for the first time last year. But I enjoyed Lolla immensely and would enjoy going again. I think between the two, it’s more likely that Lolla will have a lineup that is more appealing to me. But there have been some Riot Fest lineups that looked great too. Either way, I just hope there’s some news soon. If they really did pull out of Coachella, I hope that doesn’t affect anything else.
With Lolla, MCR would stick out like a sore thumb. Riot Fest could probably book an entire stage around them for the day they're headlining. They've been doing that with certain headliners the last few years.
I mean it's not like they were going to fit in at Coachella. Imagine an MCR set right before you see Frank Ocean lmao
I'll have to take your word for it cause I've never been. As an aside I personally would absolutely die to see MCR before a Frank Ocean, Ariana, or Beyoncé, I just assumed there isn't that much crossover between their fanbase and recent headliners
One of the rumors had them playing Coachella. There were multiple rumors though. As other users stated, things happened.
I really, really wish they were on the bill. Would have been a blast, and I am bummed that something seemed to happen. And as a non-aside, to give a bit more context, over the years I have seen AFI, Coheed & Cambria, Jimmy Eat World, Rx Bandits, Jack's Mannequin, Steel Train, fun., Portugal. The Man, and countless other bands that came from our little scene at Coachella. Always a fun time, I guarantee you there are a TON of MCR fans walking the fields
Everyone loves MCR these days! The naysayers are all coming around to the brilliance!!! Hahahahhahahahqhah
Imagine how epic it would be after the last act on the last night of Coachella, Everyone is walking towards the exits and then they hear “When I was a young boy..”
Please, please, please let them play R+L. Going to Reading Festival last year was the single greatest thing I’ve ever done, and I would do it again if MCR is there. Their 2011 set is the reason I’ve wanted to go for all these years.
If MCR play UK dates I can't see it being more than one or two stadium dates, honestly, not a full-blown tour.
i don't see why they would announce a uk tour before so much as stopping by the east coast but this band loves to keep us guessing
I understand the band grew in popularity after the breakout but headlining stadiums still seems like a reach to me. Maybe if it was joint dates with another big band.
