I’m not upset. MCR playing Coachella seemed so out of place.

But why hasn’t there been any other news yet??

A lot of placements on this poster confuse me.

I could believe that. Wonder what like they’d be on. They don’t take top billing at a Coachella or Lolla like they would at Riot Fest.

I don’t buy it. Sounds like backtracking.

Interesting. Cause I knew about the reunion stuff early specifically *because* of this original booking and Riot Fest.

Yeah idk about that. Aside from how out of character it would be for them to cancel over the size of their name, I doubt Coachella wouldn't have them in an ironclad contract this late in the game.

  10. Can’t wait to see the reactions when Frank ends up dropping two days before or something lol

Also don’t think anyone needs to worry about them suddenly not playing anymore US shows this year. Wait a little bit

I mean...did they expect to be headlining? Yeah they are a pretty big band now and their reunion was a big deal but like...they aren't THAT big. On a festival like Coachella they just are not headliner worthy.

They could have expected second or third billed, then gotten offered lower. There's so many options of what could have happened

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Highly doubt they wanted a headliner spot. They probably just wanted second of third line billing which isn’t unreasonable at all. They are easily that big.

Obviously is a tiny thread to follow, but this guy who works for Goldenvoice always posts a "artists by genre" post on reddit after the lineup comes out (link). Well this year he posted it, with My Chemical Romance on the list, then swiftly deleted that list and re-posted the same list without them

Obviously could be nothing, also could be that there were last minute negotiations that didn't wrap up.

Something must’ve gone on, I’d have thought. Coachella lineup rumours that are that strong before the drop are typically spot on..

Confusing placement of Marina vs someone like Carly Rae Jepsen.

Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

I feel confident about a Riot Fest headlining spot.

Was really hoping for Lolla Chicago instead of Riot Fest.

Riot Fest is miles and miles better than Lolla though

Riot Fest is a better overall fit for the band. Aesthetically, anyway.

I love Lolla too, but I agree Riot is a much better fest. Especially for a band like MCR

My problem with Riot over lolla is that the headlining stages sound is so hit or miss every year, and it can be hard to see unless you get up close. I've never heard a complaint about the sound on either Lolla main stage.
