Announcement isn’t far off. can’t wait for this thread to turn into arguing about openers, venue size and probably ranking more things
Gerard's kind of a weird dude though. All i expect from him on Instagram nowadays are posts about comic books and the occasional picture of a bug lol
In regards to Gerard and the teleprompter, they fired Matt Pelissier back in the day for not using a click track.
Yeah, nothing wrong with wanting to have a tight sound. The drummer's job is to keep the band in time and if he isn't doing that right, then that's a problem
It would make a lot more sense of a reason if at the same time they didn’t have an absolute wreck of a lead singer. Watching videos of their last performance with Matt, Summer Sonic, I didn’t notice any problems with tempo or the drum sound.
Guess it’s a good thing that the MCR guys probably based their decision off of more than one performance then
There are so many reasons why MCR kicked Matt out but couldn't exist without Gerard. Sure he was a wreck, but he was also dealing with a lot of issues that, unlike Matt, didn't include personality clashes with the rest of the band. There are so many reasons that's a bad comparison to make, and that's completely ignoring the lack of sympathy you'd have to have to make it to begin with.
Since HIM got brought up again I figured I'd leave this here. A bunch of artists including Ville Valo, Matt Tuck, and Brian Molko talk about MCR. Tré Cool might also be talking about them but in classic Green Day fashion idk wtf they're on about. It's a real blast to the past, in any case.
I saw a version posted on Reddit, same dates but three different openers. Most likely fake. The font is off, lots of B-markets compared to the number of dates, and I don’t think they’ll be using that statue imagery on an ongoing basis. I think that was just for the Return show.
