Oh man, the dude is amazing haha I've been browsing through his channel quite a bit tonight. Does a great Bowie cover of Space Oddity
The Danger Days release show was such an amazing night but my fav moment had to have been when I was walking out and thinking I must be hallucinating because I never expected to see Leonard Nimoy at an MCR concert but it was totally him.
Danger Days is one of my favorite albums of all time and also changed my life forever, and has informed all of my creative pursuits and the way I live my life for the last 9 years.
Danger Days might be my favorite album of all time. I'm glad to see it getting some love. Normally I have to defend that album to the people around me. It's so good!
"Gravity don't mean too much to me..." Lol That's actually one of my least favorite songs from them, but that line has been stuck in my head since I listened to it a few weeks back and what more appropriate time to mention it than today! :P
Any day since the reunion, since Danger Days debates have gone on daily since then Anyway is there any news about the secret Chris Conley show with My Chemical Romance opening and an encore performance by Thursday with a special lineup featuring The Used?
I will never forget waiting for the album to leak (sue me), and I’ll always remember that morning when I finally got ahold of it, and popping it into my car stereo and driving around listening to DD at full volume. I remember exactly where I was driving during each song. And Bulletproof Heart, the song I was most looking forward to, was absolute magic. Just hearing that chorus...”GRAVITY...don’t mean too much to me”. And that first time hearing the line “Tell the truth and GOD WILL SAVE YOU”. Oof. I get chills just remembering that first listen. I remember my jaw dropping during SCARECROW and Summertime, thinking how the hell did they make such amazing, unexpected songs. And then crying...really hard...listening to the studio version of Kids from Yesterday for the first time. Boy, oh boy, will I always be so grateful for that memory. I didn’t think I’d ever be the same after listening to it. And honestly, I haven’t ever been the same. Getting my Danger Days tattoo next Monday to finally seal the deal.
I'm probably the oddball, but Summertime made me cry the first few times I heard it. TKFY made me cry when I watched a video of their last live performance thinking it was the last time they'd sing it... except, maybe it won't be!
Danger Days is my favorite MCR album. I have been playing it on runs lately and I love it front to back so much. I hope they pick up where they left off with a new release. It feels very similar to me to FOB Folie a Deux. An album that was really progressive at the time that came out at the end of an era that did not get the love it deserved initially.
as much as I love DD, I hope whenever they do make new music, that's not the sound they go with. I don't think it will be.
Whaat, they had action figures? That's hilarious haha. Yeah my only merch I had was a pretty dope black T-shirt of this grayscale bald kid in a hospital gown just kind of floating in the air with a red IV line that just swooped around the shirt into his arm. Ended up getting rid of it as I got older and stopped wearing band Ts. Defffinitely wouldn't fit me now, but I kind of wish I still had it anyways lol. I'm a hoarder.
Anyone else a little surprised at the lack of news/updates so far? We’re rapidly coming up on a month since the initial announcement and I’m curious that there still hasn’t been much talk outside of a few show announcements.
They’ll probably be quiet until the shows honestly. They want to see how it all goes and keep the focus on that
