    They're both 11/10.

Three Cheers has that amateurish scrappiness to it that I love. Lotta memories too. But I have to give the edge to TBP.

idk if I could call anything about 3 Cheers “amateurish” personally.

I didn’t mean that in a bad way. But, it feels like I can tell that the band is still figuring it out and the songs still have that “anything goes” kind of factor to them. Whereas TBP is much more structured and “classic” sounding.

Yeah I don't feel that way at all. I can get Bullets having that amateur feel even though I think the songs are masterpieces.

Three Cheers is literally that sound perfected. Everything is so well done.

I'm a big fan of how live the drums sound on Three Cheers

Some of the bass lines, and vocal melodies from three cheers get stuck in my head even though I haven’t listened to it in months. Or years

There is not a single thing on this earth I love more at this very moment than the way Gerard songs “buh-lieve” in Thank You For The Venom (and his delivery throughout that song, for that matter).
I feel like 3 Cheers is a band knowing exactly who they are and what they’re going for and absolutely nailing it, but it’s absent of a lot of the grandiosity that defines TBP. TBP is the sound of a band who knows who they are challenging themselves and expanding on that definition by extending themselves outward in so many ways, and really going for that “larger than life” status, and being so confident in themselves in doing so that they nail it just as hard as they did with 3 Cheers. I hope this makes sense, I’m tired.

The way he sings certain words has always been so unique and enjoyable to me. Especially during Revenge/Parade. He always drags them out in the best way.

I've always felt like Revenge was the perfect example of what My Chemical Romance is as a band and The Black Parade was the band putting on a show, creating a new identity. Which lines up with what you're saying, ha. I remember back before that album came out people I knew thought they were starting a new band called The Black Parade.

Some MCRenaissance thoughts for the morning.

Surrender the Night is sooo good.

Will Conventional Weapons ever get a proper vinyl pressing?

I only got the first three CW singles, now the prices for the latter two are insane.

I totally missed out on the box set back in the day. Would love a basic repressing with all the songs on one vinyl though.

I ran to CW this morning. It’s a surprisingly good album for running/the gym. I just love the dirty punk/raw production of the entire thing.

I remember them saying they didn't want to put it on one LP because they don't want it to be packaged as an actual album.

One of my favorite Gerard inflections that I both enjoy and laugh at is at the end of the second verse in I Don't Love You where he goes "uhauheyah oooohwoahoowoahhuyeah"

From what I can tell, we're back to no listing at all on the Roxy website or axs.
