surrender the night is far and away my favorite CW song. has the most three cheers vibe of any song they ever made after that record imo.
Danger Days is one of the coolest left turns a "scene" band has ever made. Also it's better than Three Cheers
Getting into CW for the first time and Boy Division is amazing. It's like if Rise Against, Thrice and MCR had a perfect baby together. Maybe even a little bit of System of a Down in there, too
Also, it's my birthday in two days and my dad just gave me some birthday money and I'm really on the fence about putting it toward that ridiculously expensive MCR reunion jacket ahh
Still wanna get "Never let them take the light behind your eyes" as a tattoo, been wanting to since CW came out
I've never really cared much for Conventional Weapons, but I still find it pretty amazing that they even released them, so many bands don't ever release their scrapped albums.
I don't often listen to CW as a whole, but when I think about MCR songs I really love, a few of them come to mind Specifically Boy Division, Surrender the Night, The World is Ugly and Kiss the Ring
"Gun" slaps except for that bridge where he starts spelling out g-u-n and s-u-n there has literally never been an appropriate instance of anybody spelling out a word in music (looking at you Arctic Monkeys)
Anybody like Pencey Prep? I almost always get into Heartbreak in Stereo whenever I get back into MCR. Was listening this evening.
“ambulance” and “gun” are two of my absolute favorite mcr songs. sorta glad they scrapped conventional weapons for danger days but i’m glad we got them both anyway
Aside from that version of The World is Ugly, Ambulance and Gun were always my least favourite. They're still solid but didn't really blow me away like the rest of them do.
wait do people not like "The World is Ugly"? that's a new one on me damn "Make Room!!!!" is my least favourite and that's still an 8/10 banger, those songs are crazy consistent
