I thought it was pretty awful when it came out and I listened to it this morning for the first time since then and I def dug it more than I expected.
regarding Danger Days, I'd forgotten how much Planetary (GO!) is almost exactly the same as "When Worlds Collide" from Powerman 5000, at least the chorus
Danger days is wonderful. I hope they continue with concept album themes in the future. They do it like no other band
People tried to tell me Danger Days was a bad album but I just said Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah
I remember sitting at lunch with some kids who were shitting on it and I was like... uh... no it's great. They said Bulletproof Heart was the only good song. I think you have to actively be trying to not like songs like Na Na Na, Planetary (Go!), The Only Hope, etc.
So, this is how this is gonna play out. Start the album now and then, in 54 minutes, return to this thread and tell us about your new enlightenment!
There are no new songs registered for publishing right now. MCR don’t fuck around tho. I wonder if Rob Cavallo is involved in new music or maybe someone new??
Danger Days is definitely my favorite by them Red haired Gerard with those sleeveless t-shirts total style icon
i mean danger days is a good album but it doesn't hold a candle to the two albums that came before it
The back half alone. Summertime.. S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W.. the kids from yesterday. All amazing. Even Vampire Money is just plain fun. I love this album
Time has been kind to DD. It was always going to be difficult following up The Black Parade on release. scarecrow is a top tier MCR cut
Depending on what I'm in the mood for, either Black Parade or Danger Days is my favourite, then Three Cheers, and Bullets dead last.
bullets is hard to listen to imo. time has not been so kind to that album. three cheers and black parade are legit 10/10 perfect albums.
Three Cheers = Black Parade = Danger Days I Brought U My Bullets and Conventional Weapons ever so slightly below #1 band ever MCR Beethoven Beatles
The Black Parade is of course still one of the greatest albums of our generation, but I would love to hear a remaster without the loudness wars thing going on.
