The Five of Us Are Dying is not very good, but it's always interesting hearing how songs begin and evolve.
For some reason I didn't even know that was him talking, I always thought it was an old sample from a movie or interview or something
Geoff Rickly did a great job producing. oddly enough it reminds me a lot of Thursday and TBS first records. Just raw, emotional, powerful records.
I've never given any album from this band an honest listen before and it's been years since I've even listened to an album in the background, but I'm listening to The Black Parade right now and this is fucking great. I sure slept on this band for the past decade or so.
Just finished the album and holy shit this album has so much more bite to it than I enever thought it would. I had listened to about half this album before over the years (The Sharpest Lives, WTTBP, I Don't Love You, Teenagers, Disenchanted, and Famous Last Words) and I've always really enjoyed those songs, but I'm so glad I finally listened to this. Standouts for me are WTTBP, Disenchanted, and Famous Last Words. I loved the other songs I mentioned above as well, but to slightly lesser degrees. Mama really surprised me as another one I was absolutely floored by. Overall, great album. In excited to listen to this some more as well as dive into the rest of this band's discography. Three Cheers is next.
