oh my god I'd lose my mind to see Trio and MCR in the same show super excited for this news. still would really like another solo album as well, but I'm happy all around haha, already crushed through The Black Parade and now onto Three Cheers. also saw people mentioning CW, honestly probably what I spin the most
if you don't think i'm spamming the TouchTunes at the bar tonight with MCR songs... happy freakin halloween!
Yellowcard is up next. Although the difference there is it would actually be their second time reuniting, so I do think one day, but I think at least another 4-6 years.
i was so sure we'd never see Underoath or MCR again, when Underoath came back it gave me hope in MCR haha
Ok but like... blink 182 reunited and Fall Out Boy went on hiatus, Fall Out Boy came back, then My Chem broke up, now My Chem reunited, should I be afraid for next month?
Got to see em on Projekt Revoultion in 2007 during Black Parade and again in 09 for Blinks reunion tour with Danger Days.... Just happy to hopefully get new music but at least there will be youtube videos from the show. So interested to hear Gerard do the songs today.
all these symbols they are posting have FIVE appendages! I feel like they have a new album already done for sure
I still can’t believe this is happening. I had an idea that something might be brewing behind the scenes after that Jonas tidbit a couple months, but to see this in the middle of my workday on Halloween just seems surreal. I’m all for this. Like others have said, there’s no way they do full social media profiles and a merch store for just one show. Nope. This is full reunion on their terms this time around. I can see an album/tour then normal breaks like other older artists do these days.
I mean...compared to bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, The Get Up Kids, Cursive, Braid, Cap'n Jazz, American Football, etc. and a bunch of the bands you'll find in "The Emo Thread", they aren't emo.
So is The Shrine all seated? Doesn't look like there will be a GA area? I'm so curious as to what songs they'll be playing. If they break out some of the Conventional Weapons songs (Boy Division, Burn Bright, Ambulance, Gun, Light Behind Your Eyes), it's over for me. Would also love to see Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back since that one never really got played live.
emo to me has more to do with mentality than the way music actually sounds, and to me MCR is an emo band. I get tons of shit from my real emo friends all the time for saying that, but I don't really care haha.
