Since we're sharing first/milestone MCR shows... 2002 at SportsPlus. My Chemical Romance opened for Thrice who opened for The Used. Fire marshal canceled the show before The Used took the stage.
MCR/Thursday is my dream and I will not allow that dream to die hell, I’d be happy if No Devotion opened.
California 2019 is when Danger Days was set. Fitting for them to come back with that. Still really hope we get the album they were working on at some point.
In addition to Demolition Lovers, it's also whispered at the end of "Vampires" and was featured on their Little Bastard James Dean logo in the early 2000's.
How do they even go about making a setlist. I hope Danger Days isn't done dirty, but I have a feeling it will be.
The fact that I can't find the Little Bastard logo on Google Images is kinda tripping me out. It was plastered on their site.
I'm so excited to have them be a band again, to get to hear new music and see them live and even just watch interviews. I genuinely cant believe this is real.
My Chem throwback: going to see them in London when I was 15 with my friend, but it was a 16+ show, in 2004. Death From Above 1979 supported. It was either the first or one of the very first shows with Bob on drums, post-Matt. A real old moment.
DD became my favorite of theirs the past few years. I love everything about it. Been jamming CW all day so far and it still rips.
As far as we know they aren't doing any shows till next Summer. I'm sure he'll do Trio shows in the downtime. They would be a great opener.
Finally home after a long day at work. Now, time to take a big drink of water and open up the MCR thread I haven’t checked in on in a few days...
I think we all have permission to believe any band that announces a breakup actually means "We will be pursuing other projects for the foreseeable future, but will likely write an album in secret followed by cryptic social posts and an enormous tour in 3-10 years when interest has peaked. OR we will perform the ten-year show of our most beloved album. Whichever comes first."
First time I saw them was at a festival in Dallas with The Killers, AFI, and Muse around the time of TBP. There were other bands too but not many I was into. Say Anything opened
