Still believe it will happen. Maybe not this year, but within the next few years. Listening to them is almost painful for me because all I can think of is how bad I want to see them live. That statement didn't even shoot down the possibility. It just said no reunion is planned.
I enjoyed the 30-45 minutes of unbridled joy and excitement I felt thinking they'd possibly reunite or even play one show before my natural pessimistic nature kicked in and I realized it was probably not anything majorly exciting like that. Oh well, time to go back to sitting around and waiting til they hopefully reunite one day. I'm supposed to see Death Spells next month in London so at least I've got that to look forward to.
Definitely could've been handled better but whatever I guess. Probably the label's idea like you all said.
Keep in mind people back in August 2015 it leaked that LCD Soundsystem was gonna reunite for a world tour starting with Coachella, and LCD and their label immediately came out and said these rumors were false and they had no plans to reunite....flash forward to 5 months later when the reunion was announced, along with the Coachella appearance. Heard from several sources that MCR was coming back for a tour, still think its happening.
If its two months away why wouldn't they announce it/ put it up for pre-order now though? Or maybe that's when pre-order will go up? Whole thing is super weird
been listening to TBP for the first time in probably five or six years. forgot how fun this album is. what a weird year, 2006 was.
Honestly I can't figure out how the hell they were expecting people to react. If they were gonna put the video out they should have at least specifically said what it was for in the video itself and not been all cryptic
They're touring with Matchbook Romance and it's called the very romantic tour I just made that up but while we're speculating go big or go home
That song always takes me places, but once I started to understand how production can make a song go huge, I've always wished it had sounded more fleshed out. Like that bridge part would be absolutely destructive given the right "mmmphh". Now I'm REALLY hoping this is revamped in some way.
this band is pretty much cemented as my third favorite behind JEW and FOB but i don't seem to listen to them that much nowadays and i don't know why. TBP is fucking special. "Sleep" is their joint-best song and i don't understand the production complaints "Drowning Lessons" is still my favorite though. Matt rips on it and on that whole record
Matt exclusively ripped it. The rhythm section definitely never got as intense on the last two records.
Listening to the black and bone swirl TBP right now with my brother. Disenchanted. Soul = destroyed, just like every other time. The prechorus, oh man.
