It's only like a few lines, haha. I love his vocals for most of the album, "Brothers" is one of his best on there vocally.
"Teenagers" is easily my least favourite song from their first three albums and I still love it so much.
"Disenchanted" was my favourite on here for a good while. Still adore it but "Mama", "Sleep" and "Famous Last Words" have all passed it for me.
I would probably be inclined to say Danger Days was their best if that RHCP worship of Destroya wasn't on there
I like the second half of Three Cheers a little more, though it's still not my favorite thing. I like the beginning of Cemetery Drive.
You two are insane. That song is incredible. I love that noise, especially at the end with the guitars just going off and the "wake up" screams in the background. 10/10
Destroya is ace, do RHCP sound like that? Sing and Save Yourself have always been my least favourites on that album while "Summertime" has been an easy favourite since day one.
Yeah, I've definitely grown to not HATE it but it's still jarring to hear an almost rap-rock sounding song like that in between Summertime and The Kids of Yesterday
yeah idk it's mostly the verses and intro of that song that just give me that vibe. I definitely don't think it's a horrible song, just takes me out of the record a bit.
S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, Summertime, and The Kids from Yesterday are easy favorites from Danger Days. The Black Parade is Mama, Disenchanted, and I Don't Love You. The first two I don't love as much, probably because I only heard Helena before The Black Parade came out. Danger Days is great to me though. Party Poison is the only throw away in my opinion.
In the 2000s it didn't matter what band it was, I never bought the deluxe edition of albums. It was not until last year I heard the b-sides on the Black Parade. Even after the band was gone, it was great to find new music that I didn't know about. Honestly, I haven't listened to Danger Days came out. I was one of those people at the time. Maybe today will be the day I give it a fair chance.
Would like to echo the comments about Sleep as a good example of how that album needs a remaster. It just sounds so shrill instead of grandiose. The screams lose a lot from that, imo. Also I made an alternate playlist for DD that uses the b-sides and makes it flow better, anyone interested in seeing it?
Maybe a weird question but: Has it ever come out which songs from the Conventional Weapons sessions carried over to the actual Danger Days album? I know that they recorded a bunch of "back to basics" punk songs that essentially were conventional weapons, but then threw those out in favor of Danger Days. But did any of those songs carry over to the actual album? Like Vampire Money maybe?
MCR was the fourth show I went to, and it was in 2004 (400 capacity), when I was 15. A special show for me, just because it was with all of my friends at the time, and we were all just so into it. One of those moments that reminds you how your love for music really flourished. I don't listen to them at all now, but do still have a lot of love for them. Later that year I saw them again, and I'm pretty sure it was Bob's first show as a member of MCR. Plus Death From Above 1979 opened (literally opened, not even main support ha).
