I want to apologize for any spelling mistakes or anything that doesn't make sense. I'm. Drinking margaritas and I don't drink usually so this is an experience.
I have been on a major MCR tear over the past couple of months. Of all the bands in that 2000's pop-emo boom, I genuinely believe that their music has held up the best. I actually kind of forgot how good they were.
Totally agree. I stopped listening to them for awhile in highschool, but for the last 5 years I keep getting obsessive with them every few months lol. Edit As a 26 year old, it's crazy to think how much music I still listen to and love from as far back as middle school
I think the sequencing of Conventional Weapons sucks but I still think it’s good. DONT EVEN HAVE A GUN
conventional weapons doesn't completely work but some of the individual songs are sooo great. "gun" and "ambulance" are two of my favorite mcr songs ever
Those two are probably my least favourite of the bunch aside from the reworked World is Ugly and they're still ace.
Right there with ya. Usually when I don’t like an album by a band I love I can go back and think “ok this isn’t so bad these are mostly fine,” but not for danger days. Could never buy into the concept.
Do you guys listen to Conventional Weapons in the order of the singles or make your own tracklist? I always feel like it sounds much better with different sequencing. Also glad to see so much Danger Days love in here. It’s my favorite MCR record and my friends give me shit for it haha.
I think the release order for CW is as good as it gets but that could be because I'm so used to that order. I think Boy Division is a perfect opener and Burn Bright a fantastic closer at least.
Now I have to listen to Danger Days. IDK what my favorite MCR record is, but I can say I always come back to Danger Days. I definitely listen to that album the most.
Danger Days is fine, although it doesn't touch Black Parade or Three Cheers. I'd rather listen to DD than Bullets or CW. Save Yourself is an all-timer for me.
