underrated comment. and don't let people tell you it's "NOT OKAY" for you to have heard the black parade before.
My Chemical Romance always reminds me of fall and especially halloween. I wouldn't consider myself a huge fan, but I loved the rollout to Danger Days. The teases, the buildup, every news threads about interviews, Nanana, the following singles and music videos. It was such a blast to witness all of this on ap.net. I might just be nostalgic about 2010. That, Underoath, Anberlin, and Jimmy Eat World ruled that period. Not sure what band I'm forgetting.
It would be really funny if they just announced a tour supporting Conventional Weapons and act like nothing happened
I want that last album they were working on more than anything. I really wish they had at least finished that and gone on one last tour before breaking up.
The album was going to be called The Paper Kingdom and was about a support group for parents who were dealing with the loss of their children where they created this story about the kids fighting some witch in the woods. It was apparently really dark and different sounding for them.
I can't believe this is the first time I've heard of this! Fake Your Death must have been written for this album then?
He didn't say it was a bad idea, just that he wasn't ready to be in that headspace at the time. I think as someone with a small child he didn't really want to be going to that place every night which is understandable. I still wish I could hear it though, sounds amazing to me.
I wish we got a studio recording of that song ‘Stay’ that they were playing live between TBP and Danger Days. I liked the way it sounded
Always wished we got a studio version of Stay even though the live version from the Maxwell's show is perfection. Will forever be mad at myself for missing that show.
What was that one punky song they were playing live before they started recording Conventional Weapons? It wasn't included on the compilation so I'm wondering if they scrapped it. Would love to hear a studio version one day. It sounded a bit like The Bronx which is neat.
What's the general consensus of Conventional Weapons? I gave it a casual listen back in the way, but relistening to it now and it absolutely rips.
Conventional Weapons is fantastic, The Light Behind Your Eyes is still one of my favorite songs from them.
