Real talk I've been planning to get a tattoo of lyrics from The Light Behind Your Eyes for awhile. I just have to actually go through with it.
Shush. Also @bachna84 i got the job today. Dealing with telling everyone that good news can you advance us??
Round 1 has come to a close with the following scores: The World Is Ugly - 2 Boy Division - 17 Kiss The Ring - 8 Surrender The Night - 11 Boy Division and Surrender The Night will advance to Round 2! Here are the Round 2 matchups: --------------------------- Boy Division Vs. Tomorrow's Money AMBULANCE Vs. Gun. Burn Bright Vs. Surrender The Night The Light Behind Your Eyes Vs. Make Room!!!! Begin!
Boy Division. Way better song. AMBULANCE. Love gun but this is one of their finest choruses, this song belongs on BP Surrender The Night. Love both but also one of their finest choruses, reminds me of TCFSR The Light Behind Your Eyes. Easy choice. Adore this song.
Boy Division - Tomorrow's Money is also a great song though. I think I like Boy Division more because it sounds more like a classic MCR song, Tomorrow's Money AMBULANCE Burn Bright - Partially because I'm a little bitter that Kiss the Ring went out already, but mostly because Burn Bright is just a great song. The Light Behind Your Eyes - This one actually ended up being the closest for me. The best thing about this bracket game has been giving a more thorough listen to Conventional Weapons. There are some really fantastic songs in this batch that I never paid much attention to before. Also, listening to Make Room!!!! I realized that I really really wish that would've closed Danger Days in place of Vampire Money. I think it would've accomplished the same "end credits" vibe, but personally think it would've worked better, and I would've ate up the album ending with the same "Everybody wants to change the world" line from the opening song. It would've cemented that line as the album's mission statement and been a really cool way to end the album.
Listening to Bullets right now (for the first time) and I'm kind of ashamed to say it isn't doing a whole lot for me. I like Demolition Lovers a whole lot but some of this actually got on my nerves, meh.
