Just looked at My Chemical Romance ticket from 2005 when Alkaline Trio and Reggie and the Full Effect opened. Floor ticket was $25 plus >$7 in fees. This was an arena tour as well. What a time haha

That extra $100 a ticket is going to someone, and I'm sure My Chem is aware of it. If they weren't getting a good chunk of it, it wouldn't be happening. This tour's pricing and their Coachella drama say a lot. Pretty sure their mindset was, "If we are gonna reunite, we better make a shit ton of money". I'll be curious to see how active they are in the 2021-. My guess is festival appearances and 1 big tour every 5 years.

Oh for sure because a lot of it is going to the band and it's genius because they've got all of their fans blaming ticketmaster

I would have done the same. No one here would leave money on the table if it was available to them.

I’m fairly confident they are doing festivals in spring 2021. This fall tour skips North/Central Florida, the Carolinas, and Ohio. Welcome To Rockville, Epicenter, and Rock on the Range are in those markets. Not to mention they are playing Aftershock in Sacramento this year.

They may want to make themselves more exclusive.

Remembered about the Forum show and just got floor tickets like 5 minutes after it opened.

I got tickets to all the festivals and then finally got a GA ticket for the last Forum show. So hyped for these!

I know they're probably trying to reschedule dates (probably tougher in LA if the Forum won't exist) before announcing anything.

The writing is on the wall when Coachella and Stagecoach get canceled that were set to take part in the same month.

getting my $200 or so that I spent back would be.......nice......but i think i'd rather just know that i'm all set for whenever it gets rescheduled to.

What if they don't reschedule and instead break up for another six years?

  15. I’m looking forward to getting my $600 back since we were going to the LA date and we won’t be going to the rescheduled LA date haha

This band loves keeping fans out of the loop but it's not quite as fun when there's tickets involved. I think they must be trying to reschedule for 2021, but like...why not say so and give fans the option to seek a refund? I guess that seems kinda anticlimactic when you release a trailer to announce a tour but the situation sucks any way you look at it so just suck it up and say something lol

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

No way in hell I'm getting a refund. Next to Rage, this was the most stressed out I've been getting a ticket.

I'd imagine a lot more of it has to do with what rescheduling or cancelling dates would do to insurance and contracts with venues than just sheer greed.

the band doesn't control who gets a refund and when, the ticket seller does. ticketmaster refunds can only begin if the shows are officially announced cancelled, or confirmed rescheduled dates are announced and posted. i have to imagine they're working as hard as they can on rescheduling, i would wager that some of these sporting arenas might be very wary about when they want to allow rescheduled events due to possible uncertain conflicting schedules with the teams that play there and even local ordinances concerning capacity.....but it's not like MCR has the complete power to control when you can get your money back.

i do agree though that they should be a little more forthcoming. we all know the fall arena shows aren't happening. they should announce that the dates are working on being rescheduled, so people can stay as in the loop as possible.

yeah i'm 1000% not thinking that MCR is sitting back laughing and rolling around in piles of your money right now lol

like just off the top of my head, some of these arenas are basketball arenas, and the NBA is going to have a 2-3 month delayed start on the 2020/2021 season, so dates that would normally be virtually guaranteed to not have games now may in late summer/early fall. so, i'm gonna give them benefit of the doubt that theyre really working on this lol

I don't think it's always as easy as "move the dates from the currently scheduled tour to exactly the same dates a year later". Some bands can do that, sure, but it's difficult when sports teams automatically get the dates they need. Also, there are other bands vying for dates in arenas too since every tour is being rescheduled, so conflicts with other bands are an issue to work out too.

exactly, so, while i agree they should maybe announce a little something, let's not rush to just assume they're being purposefully greedy and negligent lol

Also, MCR probably isn't doing anything in terms of the scheduling. It's likely the team behind them doing the heavy lifting, and MCR is just waiting for their word to say anything.
