Every band that breaks up. Is never really a break up. They always come back. It's basically just a business and marketing strategy.
You're right, all of the bands that have broken up have come back because that is part of their business and marketing strategy.
Music reminds me a lot of Romance from I Brought You My Bullets. Stoked for a new record from these guys. The world needs it.
I was just thinking to myself that I figured this would happen one day. I was bored so I thought I'd post something. Is that a good enough reason
Exactly. I'm excited they are back I just wasn't too shocked when I heard they were teasing new music.
I genuinely believe most bands don't know if they will get back together when they break up. I'm sure they hope to, and rarely do they actually promise that they'll never ever play again, but their family situations change, their band dynamic change, creative ideas dry, the business changes, etc. there's a whole host or reasons bands decide to take a break. Without knowing whether it's permanent, they do a last tour to ensure the happiness of fans who would be livid if a band did permanently end without a proper send-off. Over time, circumstances change again and they return, maybe for one show, maybe to record an album, maybe to be full-time. And we can all be cynical and resentful and pointlessly complain that a band we like is providing us new opportunities to see them or new music to listen to, or, you know, we can just appreciate their return and choose to spend money on them if we want. Also, just because a band returns, doesn't mean it has to diminish your good memories of seeing their farewell tour - that night still happened.
Ugh, every band that breaks up releases a sixteen second video of a skeleton man walking in the woods with plaintive acoustic guitar behind it. I'm over it.
