Actually I always liked the B-Sides. If it's nicely packaged and includes those, I would pick this up.
Yeah once I realized it had something to do with an anniversary I knew not to get my hopes up. Still did though.
That's fair, I guess /exact/ wasn't the right word. Just oddly similar. But hey, remember when they were doing The Black Parade and they came out and said "My Chemical Romance couldn't make the show tonight, so instead they sent their friends in the Black Parade" or something similar? Now I'm just stretching too far, but I don't know, I wouldn't be surprised one way or another.
I dunno I still think this is all very strange. Even if the label runs the band's accounts it would have to go through some sort of filter or management. I wouldn't say a reunion of sorts is out of questions quite yet.
Eh, I don't think they're similar at all. One planned a release of information and denied anything about it until they released the information, the other released information and then stated what that information meant. If this was a ploy, it would be one of the shittiest things you could do to your fanbase at this point.
The pretty much have to do the reunion now that they've got everyones hopes up. It's like when a guest is on a tv show and they someone drops they're a good dancer or singer on the panel, then the whole live audiences starts clapping and cheering for a song or dance and then the guest dogs it to everyone's disappointment
To be honest, I think those of us who used to used to live and breathe this band would forgive them in a heartbeat. Any reunion would make up for just about anything.
It would be pretty shitty, for sure. I do think most people would let it go though if they got back together. There'd be a "you guys that was so fucked up--OH SHIT THEY'RE COMING TO MY TOWN COOL THANKS" I feel like. I guess we'll have to wait and see. One of the differences here, too, is that they all have solo careers they're still doing. At the time of FOB's reunion they were all just kind of waiting around. If MCR did any kind of reunion, I don't think it would be a full-fledged reunion like FOB, probably just a few shows (doubt it would even be a full tour), and then they'd all go their own ways again.
What bothers me most is how Twitter refuses to introduce a basic feature like "Instant Articles" that would simplify all this Notes silliness.
