Self-titled does nothing for me…it’s just a meh mxpx album for me and I’ve never gone back to it. New one is so good.
I played cautious optimistic yesterday in front my wife and got laughed off of aux duties when the brushing teeth line hit smh.
Haha. Yeah. Cautious Optimistic is corny as hell, but I still like the album more than the latest blink and Green Day. It’s just so consistently catchy.
Today I learned that Educated Guess was actually recorded during the Life in General sessions and was a b-side on the Chick Magnet single. I have no clue how I didn't know this. Super fan card surrendered. But my god what a good decision to leave that ill advised bass solo near the end off the re-record for The Ever Passing Moment.
Speaking of their b-sides, You Walk I Run (the original version off the Responsibility single) remains my all time favorite. I remember importing the Australian CD single so I could have it on disc. Mike certainly struck a golden vein during The Ever Passing Moment era. Oh, and Find a Way Home remains an endless pleasure. My wife was always a casual fan, but she loves it and it's her favorite album from them. My kid is super into it as well.
Oops. Here’s what happened. @bradsonemanband liked my comment, and I replied to myself thinking I was replying to him haha
