Did anyone happen to catch Paul's live Instagram video last night? Apparently it got pretty real, but I can't find it uploaded anywhere.

Sounds like he finally addressed what happened with Darren, and some other personal stuff.

Just finished the video. He doesn't mention Darren, but talks about the future of the project and the inspiration for re-recording older songs. Pretty interesting listen. Sounds like he's going to continue solo without touring, but is keeping the name Mutemath for future releases.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but his characterization of his role as "an employee of Mutemath Inc." seems like a dig at that experience.

Agreed. Makes it seem like his relationship with Paul was strictly professional/business.

 

Been going through Mutemath’s discography again... always so impressed by the musicianship of these guys, and their ability to sonically shift on each album while still keeping their core sound intact.

 

I saw my fb memory today from four years ago and it's me basically saying the same thing lol.

 

Every member of the band was/is so talented. It's a shame they never got bigger.

 

they got fringe-big, but they could have been bigger.

then again, had they, it might have ruined them.

 

I mean...they ruined themselves?
