As a UK-er I don't think it will be financially viable for most indoor theaters and venues to re-open honestly. Apparently the capacity limit is something like 30-40% and most theatres need 80-90% ticket sales to break even.
I work in touring/live music, and this won't help these venues. Nothing is being arranged at these spaces at the moment, it takes time to arrange events, so it'll likely be till next year when we see gigs return to any normality. And by this time, a lot of spaces will have closed down. They already have, with two prominent small touring venues in my town (Manchester) shutting its doors permanently last week, which is devastating. We need support that our government isn't providing us.
