Thanks for the reply! I have it requested from the library and I'm excited for it. I liked one of the pre-released songs but I forgot the name. I did not like Boyfriend.
it seems you're looking for (electro)pop try the new Palmistry record, I think you'll love it also, The Knife's Silent Shout is an absolute masterpiece
Thanks! I got The Knife and Knife Party combined in my head and did not care for Knife Party's Abandon Ship. I actually already have a few The Knife albums including Silent Shout, so I'll listen today! I hadn't heard Palmisrty so I'll check that out. I like Björk... She was amazing in Dancer In The Dark, but her albums haven't grabbed me.
Some of my favorites from this year that fall into that category (all female fronted): Aurora Highasakite Chairlift Marian Hill ANIMA! School of Seven Bells
Awesome! Half of these are at the library and requested. I'll check the others out on Spotify or something. Thanks!
maybe all this music will also serve as a gateway to other electronic music - I envy you, starting to get into techno, ambient techno, IDM, all that good stuff haha
you might want to reconsider your stance on Ariana Grande. The song Into You is exactly what you're looking for.
Lol! What an interesting way of approaching a suggestion. Thanks. I don't have that song by her; I only have her album My Everything and it was unmotivating for me. I'll check out Into You and see if it brings me joy.
Kiiara - Low Kii Savage EP the 2 MUNA singles Disclosure have a lot of great songs with female vocalists (White Noise, You & Me, Confess to Me, Help Me Lose My Mind, Hourglass, Magnets) London Grammar Grimes (her new album Art Angels is solid gold, I suggest checking out the song Realiti to get a feel for it) Jessie Ware is great albeit a bit on the slow side Katy B (Aaliyah is a fun song!) And, of course, Robyn.
Thank you so much! I heard a Kiiara song and loved it but she fell off my list cause her music wasn't at the library (my favorite music service) Love Love Love Magnets by Disclosure feat. Lorde, but I can't stand any other song by him. Just listened to the rest of Caracal last night. Ick. London Grammar is now requested from the library. I'll give Grimes another listen. Should have been on my unrated list. Not too sure it's what I'm looking for. Jessie Ware is now requested from the library. Katy B is now requested from the library. Listening to the Robyn - Body Talk as I wrote all this. I get that it's almost exactly what I'm asking for, but it does nothing for me. It feels passionless. Feels cheap somehow. Thank you so much for all the great suggestions!
robyn is the most dancy, lol dancing on my own is the most dancy/singable song in history pretty much
Listening now. Seriously don't get it. I thought for a moment we were all talking about different Robyn's until you mentioned her song title. So sleepy. Thank you though!
