Base Ball Bear are probably my favorite discovery of the year, their 2015 album is the most fun listen ever. sucks that i can't find translated lyrics anywhere

I'm trying to listen to this band called Nano.RIPE or something but this sturf is not on Spotify and iTunes and YouTube is too inconvenient. Where can you easily stream or buy Japanese music that isn't available via convential channels here?

@Chocobo im trying to find digital copies of Hump Backs albums, any tips? Cant find it anywhere on itunes, and amazon.jp only has physical copies.

 

no tips sadly, they really don't seem to have any of their releases on any digital platform, not even LINE music (popular in Japan).

 

i dont much care for the japanese idol world, but this nogizaka46 song is the jam

 

Been going through @Chocobo ’s EOTY list and so far am in love with Daoko, Polkadot Stingray, Band-Maid, and Tricot. Tricot I actually already knew about because I got the chance to see them a couple years ago live. They were fantastic and so fun

I looked around, and it seems your only chance outside of Japan is to order physical copies from sites like cdjapan. for this band, and many others, sadly there is no easy way.
(ototoy.jp is a site where you can buy digital music from Japan, but their music isn't there.)

Chocobo, have you listened to Dreamcatcher?

They're a Korean group, but they definitely have a more Japanese style to them.

I think they're pretty fun anyway. Worth a listen
