Eagles Greatest Hits certified 40x platinum (4x diamond) up from 38x a few years ago and extends its lead as the most certified album in US history. (Hotel California also upped to 28x platinum).

I don't mind their music but it's wild to me that such a fairly good but not great compilation holds that accolade.

I’ve visited Pitchfork every day for the past 11 years or so and go there for the reviews as much as everything else

$5 a month to read as many as I want isn’t a bad deal for me specifically; I just have to get over the mild annoyance of having to pay after them being completely free all this time

The user scores and comments aren’t something I particularly care for, but to each their own

    Hi everyone,

I’ve put together a resource that might be useful for UK artists who are trying to get onto festival lineups.

It’s a spreadsheet of 183 UK festivals, organised by start date, with 50 still open for applications this year. The idea was to make it easier for artists to see what’s out there and where they can still apply, all in one place.

You can access it for free here:
UK Festivals list 2026 - A spreadsheet of 185 UK festivals, 30+ still

    The spreadsheet includes:

application deadlines so artists can prioritise

direct links to application forms or festival contact details

    festival locations and genres

    colour-coded application status (open/closed/unknown)

If anyone here thinks it might be useful, or has any thoughts or questions, I’d love to hear them. Also, if you know any places where this would make sense to share, please let me know.

    Hope this helps! :)

Has anyone picked up ANTICS magazine? I had no idea it was a thing but I ordered the newest issue as soon as I learned about it last night. Pretty excited even if 95% of the magazines I buy remain unread.

What's it about? I still love physical magazines.

Any idea why both Futures: and Surving: Phoenix Sessions were removed from Apple Music in the US? I feel super justified purchasing the bundle on vinyl now but am still curious…

Music mag with interviews, reviews, etc. It shipped a few days ago but still hasn’t arrived so I can’t comment on its quality.

    ANTICS ISSUE 6: JOYCE MANOR

I don't recognize any of the artists, and it's a tad pricey, but I'm gonna get one to support physical media.

Has anyone been to both Hollywood Palladium and Brooklyn Paramount? Which venue is quieter?

what % of "emotional exhaustion" etc full tour cancellations do we think are just cover for too-soft ticket sales? meghan trainor has a bunch of valid-sounding reasons but....in this economy, one wonders.

Nah Megan is definitely low sales, she booked venues way bigger than she is

getting downvoted to hell in phoebe bridgers redditland for mentioning my accessibility needs casually makes me feel like a warm and accepted part of music community

as a musician myself, this has been super existential and I wish things like public set times and re-entry were more widespread as an accessibility need. getting in touch with venues for ADA is almost always exhausting

Totally missed this news but this is very cool. Their HQ was in my college town and I went to a lot of shows they put on in Rock Island (before they had their own studio) and then Davenport when they opened their own studio. A lot of the shows were pretty underattended because of the location but it was cool to see some big artists to small crowds back in the day.
