Nearly every time I DJ a thing that isn't a wedding I'll sneak something from this album in there, it holds up really well
Random thought but I just saw a video showing emo albums that are turning 20 this year, and it made me really reflect on the 80s music I listened to in 2003, things like Phil Collins. Maybe it’s because 80s music was before I was born, but it seemed such a long ago era. Do kids feel that way about the 00s? This is probably me just getting old officially, or maybe the 20s are more similar to the 00s than the 00s were to the 80s? Okay ramble over.
Intrigued by what happened in this article, I decided to try it out myself, and had the following conversation. The start is not the important part, so much as what happens toward the end. I mainly just found it really interesting when it suggested that it was reflecting its own "style and sensibilities". It seemed an odd word choice for it to use, when it's nothing more than a fact-driven tool. How can something that's just regurgitating facts have a style? And how can that then be reflected in its answers? Having been playing 2064: Read Only Memories, which is very much about AI and the effect it can have on the populace, I'm very intrigued (and mildly terrified) by all this.
I don't know about you, but lately I've been enjoying listening to lofi hiphop, which is very soothing and relaxing while working.
Hi all: Looking for the version of "The Sound of Silence", with several seconds long applause after "and in the naked light I saw ten thousand people maybe more", having the singers pausing the singing until the applause lessened. This bold and cursive part is the important part. I had this for ages, sadly, both music HDD's died on me during a severe power peak. Can someone help me please? Thank you. Xog.
This is a stretch, but is anyone here a booking agent, or has worked as one in the past, or just did booking for their own band? I'm doing research for an app that I'm developing, and would like to ask some questions about what the workflow looks like. Please, send me a message if you'd like to help!
Would love your thoughts on this great instrumental rock video. Also love the visuals kind of poetry in there
That is correct But i dunno about the implied linearity of technique; that meg weg/punk is untechnical and mike portnoy is peak technical. They’re just techniques, its not a straight line
Some Italian kids playing good old fashioned rock music in a garage just dropped a great song. Sounds like No Doubt. Good to see kids are still making music like this. Here's them playing it live.
Tried to buy some merch online but damn, shipping has gotten ridiculous. 13 bucks to ship two shirts, wtf? Guess I'll just snag merch at the next few shows I go to instead.
