Not really feeling those verses.

 

Yeah verses literally do sound like Imagine Dragons but I do like the rest. Guitars sound super good once they kick in

 

This is all over the place. The heavy parts are kinda neat. Reminds me of what poppy was doing. Doesn't excuse the Imagine Dragons/awolnation garbage.

 

The verses are horrible, chorus is cool though

 

I’ve come around on the worst parts of Won’t Stand Down (verses). I have a blast with it now.

 

The chant seems to be “the will of the people”. That has the letters in the acronym that appears in the “Won’t Stand Down” video and single art. Seems like it’s the album title.

Compliance leaked because the music video director accidentally posted the video early to Vimeo lol. Song is decent... I do kinda feel like Won't Back Down was a bait and switch now because this one is a pretty standard later-era pop Muse single.

There’s no band I have a bigger love/hate relationship with. “Compliance” is garbage from a musical standpoint, but it’s such an ear worm I feel like I’m ingesting audible candy. It tastes sooooo good but then again all things covered in sugar do.
