I completely forgot that 2nd Law is a thing. Been jamming SMBH and Drones recently. Drones is probably my favorite after Absolution. So many tasty riffs.
was listening to Hullabloo Soundtrack last night and I have no idea where I would rank it in their discography but I love it. I remember buying an imported copy of it at Best Buy or FYE when I was a kid. I thought I was so cool for buying an imported CD lol
Just listened to the snippet and... are they going nu prog? It reminds me of all the bands in that genre that have been compared to early Muse to death. And I'm not complaining, I'm actually stoked for the first time in forever. I just wasn't expecting that kind of sound from them again. edit: Another clearer snippet from their Instagram gives me Imagine Dragons vibes instead... we'll see.
Lol yeah I’m kind of confused how the whole song will fit together tbh… from what I can tell the “Imagine Dragons section” and the heavier section sound totally different from each other.
Lol someone on Reddit managed to pretty seamlessly combine the various teasers so far so it's roughly the first 2 minutes of the song. Actually sounds pretty dope. https://www.reddit.com/r/Muse/comments/rzsvbp/mixed_all_wsd_teasers_together_youtube_doesnt_let/
You gotta wade through the shit to get to the decent part. Here’s to hoping the album is closer to the second half off the track!
I actually like this one musically, I can see I’m in the minority here on that though. It kinda reminds me of some newer bands like Sleep Token who combine electronic pop influences with metal… I wouldn’t say it’s executed as well as that band’s stuff but I appreciate the ambition, to me this feels fresh coming from Muse.
